Find a piece of pvc pipe to make a funnel to shoot your water into the tubs of you can't extend your hose.

How do you tell the difference between the male and female axolotl?
Do you sell any of your axolotls? My friend’s daughter found one, in the creek, here in Alabama and had it for maybe 2 months and it recently climbed out of the aquarium and died….we just found him, on the floor and he was already dried out…she is so heartbroken and I was wanting to see if you sell them or know of where we might can buy one? Did you have any problems with the male laying sperm cones & the female not laying eggs? My male mosaic and my copper Melanoid decided to breed like 2 days ago, so far no eggs. They were house together in a huge tub due to fungus issues and as soon as I put them both together when my tank was cycled correctly, boom! Mating! If she doesn't lay anything by sunday I'm going to be sad! Lol

Hello...do you know why my axolotl gills shrunk in like a 2 day time frame? Is he sick or stressed? Please help
Hi there, Sophia. I'm sorry you are having some troubles with your axolotl. First thing you'll want to do is check your water parameters, tank temps to make sure everything is in check. thinning gills can be caused by a handful of reasons. If you would like any further help please do not hesitate to give me shout!
I would've two questions (if possible to answer'em through this video to come).
I have 3 axolotls, and I wonder when I can integrate the smaller one whit the others. I set their tank side by side so they see eachother but I'm not sure when he will big enough to be safe with his friends..
Also, I'd like to know if I can, as a treat once in a while, spoil them with ex:( bananas, chicken, fish, fruits/veggie)?
Oh and just last one....my cat sometimes drink out of the tank, is the water chemicals can be armful?

Hi there, and many thanks for your comment! So, you can introduce your axolotls together once they're of a similar size and eating the same foods, then when you do just monitor them closely for a short while to oversee any hiccups that may accur if any.
As for dietary options, if you stick with earth worms, blood worms and pellets depending on the size of your axos they'll do just fine!
And I doubt the water will cause any upset to your cats, however keep a watchful eye on the two meeting for safety reasons 😊💙🌟🌈

Hiya what water conditioner is best for axolotls? I have 3 young ones and I don’t know which one is best to use 😩so many conflicted research about which one to use my friend who’s had hers for years says not to use any but I’ve seen so many videos etc to say this is a bad idea! Please help 😩

Hi I’ve been taking care of 3 baby axolotls that are about a month old since they’ve hatched and one is about double the size of the other two (which I’ve separated due to some nipping) I was wondering if this is normal? And about how big should they be at this age? I’m new to this and just want my cute babies to all live

Yes, surprisingly this can be rather common for axolotls to grow at very different rates! Many factors go into as to why, from appetite to genetics. Usually in good time they'll catch up and show little to no signs of difference as they get older though. I hope this has reassured you somewhat, and thanks again for your support😊💙🌟❤
And just to add, keep a close eye when feeding to make sure the little of the two is getting his/her fair share of food, and you'll be good to go! 😁👍

I recently bought two Axies from a breeder.
At the moment, I'm feeding them earthworms, but I would like to get some advice from an expert!
Their tank is currently between 64-65 degrees, and it is foggy (I'm working on doing a water change as soon as possible. Going to watch your video!).
I have a small pink friend, unknown gender & age, named Shrunk. They eat fine, and are doing well.
The other, a larger yellow friend also of undetermined gender or age who i have not named yet ( I got them just last week ) is doing well too. They have quite the appetite as well!
Do you also have any advice on what fish are good to keep with Axies? I've considered putting in a Pleco, since it eats algae, but i'm not sure yet.

Any fish you pop in are likely to get munched 😱 I wouldn't risk it personally x
@@theherstorychannel That's what i thought. I read that fish would also munch at the lotls and I didnt want to accidentally put in something and have it chew them up.
@@cxm3r0nnn I think it's just the axies snapping at anything that comes near them and disturbs the water, whether it's fingers, food or anything else. They chomp first and then decide if they actually want to eat it second 😂🤦♀️

So, as mentioned below keeping fish with axolotls isn't recommended, as the chances ate they'll become a light meal when theres rumbling tummies in their tank lol. Plus, some fish mistake an axos frilly gills as worms and can nip at them too.
The cloudiness tore experiencing may be a bacterial bloom you're facing. The best way to overcome this would be to do small frequently run water changes. Always check your water params so you know how much or little to switch out each time. I sure hope this helps, and thanks again for your support! 😊💙🌟🌈
i wanted to try breeding axolotls i was hoping for a axanthix with tyaphoebes (may be misspelled) the glittery spots on the skin i mean how do i breed the characteristic i have a gfp melanoid a gfp wildtype a albino (completely white) and finally a copper with the glittery spots any advice?
