The original was recorded by Michael Massay on a Roland SCC1 sound card. This song was created by Bobby Prince using MIDI software for ID software on the game "DOOM". This was my remake of this origin

I think it might legitimately be a remix of the 2016 Mastermind theme, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm not exactly surprised though, seeing as the original Facing the Spider has barely a minute of material to work with.
Nah, I think Mick and I just have some of the same taste in synths every now and then. I just wanted to slow it down and make it nice and dark/ tech sounding...which is what new Doom did so yea there might be some similarity but I had old Doom in mind.

@@massmadness1811 Yeah, I really really liked the track "Mastermind" and how Mick made those tracks is awesome too. He took sine waves (I think it was sine) the purest form of synth, and corrupted the fuck out of it. He pretty much wanted to make what Argent energy would sound like.
2016's Mastermind theme is basically a reversed and updated version of the original soooo...
The issue is this track would have been out of place with the rest of the 2016 music.

I always get curious about who is the marine in the back in the original doom cover page
Probably a character from the (almost) scrapped 'Doom Bible'.
It's always a mystery. Game development was less coordinated back in the day and you'd frequently get cover art that differs entirely from the game aesthetic (see also the Mega Man original cover art). We should count ourselves lucky that the Doom cover only featured an extra marine (which is fine anyways, cause the game has co-op and its a good way to advertise the feature) and a weird SMG gun that doesn't really exist in the game. I think the cover art was made by Adrian Carmack who was the official artist for the game, but he is always described as a morbid reclusive/loner type by his former teammates who liked gore and weird/perturbing art like Giger. Also probably why the Doomguy is about to die in the cover as opposed to being triumphant. I think they told Adrian to go wild with his art because they liked his style and this is what he came up with.

This is awesome, I find your work on doom as the best, there is a lot of remakes out there but yours is one of the best! Did you ever tried to remake metal music from other games? I thought that Contra Hard Corps OST is a very remakeable one. Keep up the good work!

Nice man i loved this song! Also for the record your role was to destory hell, Send em back in pieces, played the so much! Cyber demon was my fav. loved modding the game, changing the voices, Doom 3 was tight loved the story, and DOOM Latest was just brutal and tons of fun, your guy pissed being stuck in a tomb for so long, just pissed and then goes on a rampage! Ah doom, some of the most fun I had gaming. Sick remake though man!
