Honestly didn't know there where flamingo species at all. Thought there was just the common flamingo 🦩😅
Well now you know
Same I didn't knew there 2 species hippopotamus now when ever i heard about an animal I already assume there going be sub species
@@asharali6388not subspecies. Subspecies are when a species has changed due to location, but two different subspecies could still breed to make the same species. It’s very confusing stuff, but you would be mostly correct by your logic. Ostrich, elephant, rhino, hippo, bison and crocodile all have various species. Interestingly though big cats don’t. There is only 1 lion, leopard etc
@@rishaanshah6747 I knew the difference sub species and species but I thought he made video about sub species of flamingos region wise I must ve been sleeping through video I watched it late night but thanks
@@asharali6388 oops sorry for correcting you then 😅
One fact worth mentioning is that American and Greater Flamingos were once considered conspecific, in other words the subspecies of the same species.
Interesting! Thank you!
I have watched all the "all species of the..." video series and they are absolutely brilliant master collection. Basically an encyclopedia of animals and birds on TH-cam. Thank you and keep it coming
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them, lots more on the way :)
@@Textbooktravel Your ungulates video was my favorite!!! You're a real one!
The Greater flamingo is increasing its distribution. After many years being a regular sight at the Bulgarian Black Sea (and elsewhere in Bulgaria) it now has been observed breeding there as well. Incredible really, for such a big bird to increase its population and breeding grounds in Europe.
Hurrayyy
I love flamingos, but the Puna is by far my favorite! I just love the interesting mix of colors and pattern they have^^ Great video!
Love these series! Is it possible for you to do one on the different species of either:
Parrots
Toucans
Ducks/swans
Wild pigeons
Starlings
For sure! It's great to see this comment get so many likes as I'm excited to make more bird videos after this one :)
Ah amazing! Look forward to it 😅
@@Textbooktravel Can I add Hornbills to this list please?! LOVE your videos!
Sadly pigeons would be too much, as there are over 300.
@@limericklad2000 I LOVE HORNBILLS! ESPECIALLY THE RHINOCEROS HORNBILL
Suddenly obsessed with flamingos
Would love to see all deer species.
Another mel pfp
It's on the way! I've started to plan that one out, there are just so many of them!
There are in fact seventy extant deer species under twenty genera.
@@indyreno293320 genera, 70 exta species... Deary me
8:22 Those are there ankles, not knees.
Looking at the range map, I never knew flamingos were sighted in the Bay Area of California, let alone the northern US! I live in San Diego, where you might actually expect to see them, and indeed many are kept by hotels, resorts, theme parks and zoos… but apparently some American flamingos have actually been sighted at the south end of San Diego Bay. Makes sense. The bay is largely shielded from the Pacific Ocean by a thin peninsula and island town, Coronado, which runs parallel to the bay for at least 10- 15 miles (24 km). The bay opens up to the ocean at its northern end… the southern area is an estuary and marsh habitat, where the flamingos were seen.
Flamingos are some of my favorite birds, and i loved this video. If is posible, please make a video of all eagle species. Greetings from Perú
I live in Gujarat State of India, 2:57 the one on the western most of India. I have seen flamingos so often. There are so many good lakes where they migrate to
awesome video, love this series it’s so consistent!
I truly love your channel and i adore all off your videos. I’m an avid documentary watcher and this channel is quality 👌👍 i look forward to more content soon. Thank you.
Hey, love your videos❤. I want to suggest you to make a detailed video on parrots, parakeets and macaws.
Good video. Keep up the good work. And congratulations for 100k subscribers.
Thank you so much!! Really appreciate that
Thank you for this quality content!
love this series
So I live in utah, and I keep telling people...... if Utah was more like that of florida, we would totally have flamingos living in Salt Lake
You are very lucky! Utah looks incredible!
@@Textbooktravel it's very beautiful this time of year
Years and years ago a flamingo escaped the zoo, and migrated back to the Great Salt Lake every year after that, so we know it can support flamingoes!
*Literally* Salt Lake
Congrats on 100k!
Thank you!!
Excellent video 😊
I love all your videos man, but can you please continue the national parks of United States series? Your national park videos get me so excited to travel the world and I think a lot of us would really love to see that series continue. I love your videos regardless tho, my new favourite channel!

Do these different species cross breed with overlapping territories?
Can you do a video on rabbits, hares and jack rabbits?
Can you do one on the weasel family
What about all 5 species of rhino where you ro a little dive into the rhino species and subspecies.
Please do which country has the most cats
8:20 it is the ankle joint, not the knee
Please do an all vulture species video.
New World Vultures is on the way! It should be the 3rd video after this one
You forgot the whale-mingo from Phineas and Ferb
Who uses centimeters and pounds? What a bizarre combination
