How To Turn A Popcorn Popper Into A Coffee Roaster

Using a popcorn popper is a great way to roast coffee. However, there are a couple of things to do to be able to use a popcorn popper to roast coffee beans. The first thing is to bypass the thermostat in the popcorn popper and the second is to have a way to deal with the chaff.
In this video, I explain my experiences with using a popcorn popper and show you how to turn one into a coffee roaster, along with a few tips on doing so.

I am an immature coffee roaster. At this time I have made my own roaster using the flour sifter method. It works but not finished with it yet. The best roasting I have done so far is using my heat gun, stainless mixing bowl and two 12 wooden dowels for stirring. It works great and I am drinking the product right now. I hope to purchase more beans soon from another source. The flavor and quality does come from different beans and I am sure it will take me a long time to find the one I really like.
