Your huge crystal x mag x lux anthurium is the one to blame for my home being full of anthuriums this year 💪😅 started 2024 not understanding the anthurium hype - finishing it with a ridiculous amount of anthuriums 😎🤣 and I love it!!! Love your plants and videos, here and on patreon! 💛 I've started my planty social media and about to post my first planty youtube video, too, highly influenced and inspired by you this year! 🎉 Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
So glad I’m not the only one who got anthuriums this year bc of this plant. I love that crystal x mag x lux hybrid. Anytime it’s in frame I can’t stop staring at it
i’ve been having a rough year and lost about 1/3 of my collection from not being able to keep up with them and my mental health, after finding your videos again its given me much more motivation to fall back in love with my plant babies 🥺 thank you so much fern ❤️
Hi Fern! I have been binge watching your videos (main and vlog) and trying to do so chronologically. (I find it fun when you mention filming a video for your main and then getting to see the video !) There r some I have skipped but for the most part i watch while getting ready for the day or doing plant chores. The changes over the years (hair, nails, houses, filming backgrounds) have been so fun to see ! I have loved watching your collection grow in a speed-round esque format (it’s taken me a few weeks). You’re one of the channels where I truly feel like I’m missing out by not being on your Patreon 😅. I feel like I’m missing updates ! I hope your year has been amazing ! 🎉🎉 🪴
This was my first year being into plants and I’m watching all your videos, currently I’m back 2.5 years lol I love seeing all the progress your plants have made and it’s fun to think about how much mine will grow in the next 2.5 years as well.
"Olive, has claimed the throw for herself" 🤗❤ Love your Hoya - Polynera! Omg!!! Hoya - Crimson Queen's bloom was spectacular. Waiting for mine to bloom. Thanks for another great video!
I can’t stop staring at the rain when you’re sitting in the window.. 🌧️ I hope my thompsoni pink blooms in 2025.. my Hoya are not making me happy these days. Merry Christmas Happy Holidays everyone 🎄🎉
Your plants look phenomenal, wow, so lush. I want that fuzzy petiole spider web begonia now, thanks lol. Thank you for normalizing prioritizing balance and self care. It has never been more needed. Wishing you a happy Christmas and new year.
The pings grow “winter” growth so they don’t need to be kept soggy.. you can tell because the new growth is very tight and different then the original growth.
Hey Fern! I absolutely loved seeing your Hoya blooms at the end, and a video dedicated to that sounds wonderful. l just want to let you know that you singlehandedly influenced me to hop on the Hoya train this year. I never understood the hype until I watched your videos on them blooming ( also a sucker for blooms). It was your Wayettii/Krimson Queen/ and Heuschkeliana that changed my mind 🥴 This video is definitely one of my favorites. Thank you for spending the time showing us your incredible collection and editing in b roll footage for us 🥹💚 Have a wonderful holiday week!!!
I haven't finished watching your video. This time of the year is so busy. I wish to point out, when you check the source of mealy bugs and other bugs, look at the plants at the same height and at higher location. The bugs tend to fall down onto a lower plants. Once on the plant, the bugs spread to the top of the infested plant. Merry Christmas, God bless and happy holidays.
Hey Fern I just wanted to wish you a merry Merry Christmas I hope you have an awesome Christmas I don't have family to spend Christmas with it's just me and my dog and I thank God for my new house🙏🙏🙏🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄😂👋😀👍💯💯💯💯💖💖💖💖💖🙃🙃🙃
OMG. I was telling myself "I'm surprised she didn't mentioned the Krimson Queen in the bloom segment" and your editing self popped out. Lol You had to talk about the bloom that made you scream enough so that your boyfriend had to ask if you were OK. Lol I really enjoyed the vid. I cannot help but to start building an 'mental wish list' for 2025! Have a nice Christmas week!
Yay!! My pallidiflorum came in and while potting it up I was thinking “what would fern do” 😂 3 days later I got a vittarifolium Merry Christmas, thank you for the content 🌱🌿🫶🏼
For the bloom cycle question - would it be like dead heading a rose? Maybe you could find more information online if you looked at resources about flowering in general vrs a specific plant type? Just an idea. Love your videos! Happy holidays and wishing you a merry 2025
I love your philodendrons Fern! They inspired me to add more to my collection. So far I've got a rojo congo, gloriousum, and my fav plant in my collection atm , a taxlanum red queen
I'm not alone. I've owned both my Queen and Princess for 4 yrs and no blooms yet. They're both mature, bushy, healthy and sat at my south-facing window. Curious to hear other ppl's experience and what they did to encourage blooms
Hi i chop whenever they bloom. Just think then they wont have tp spend energy to grow something i dont need in the collection. Just letting a waroq and a lux bloom for maybe some pretty hybrid trials for the first time
I'm so happy for you and great picks for your top 10! I need that spiderweb begonia for sure! I got a new window that begonia finally loved so... you know what that means................ :) I love my hoya right now, too, Globulosa wins for the year.... and my top Phio for the year is my Philodendren Royal Queen... she made it through the move in July and has not missed a beat! Ok butterfly see you soon and thank you for the nice video!
I'm too scared to finish counting how many plants I have 😂 The last time I counted it was around 200 and that was over a year ago..... I've gotten a lot of plants this year (even if it was less than the last couple of years😅), so I'm just choosing to remain in blissful ignorance of just how little self control I have, by not counting 😇🤣 I'm excited to see what your favourites are this year! 😊🫶🏻🥰
Happy Holidays Fern loving all your favorites, can you show me the mealy bugs cause I'm not seeing them and I have a feeling I have some but I spray with insecticidal soap . SENDING LOVE, HAPPINESS AND PEACE. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊Happy New Year 🎉🎉
I got my Frysek var at garden works , 19.99. It looked fresh out of tissue culture and melted , but the corm came back to life and it’s doing well. Grows so fast
Loving your Star Wars Nails! Let us know if you watch it! I bought my first magnet from Mooncat and did my nails last night. Its gorgeous! My favorite plant of yours is the beautiful Anthurium Lux that is always present absolute favorite. I made my own shirts from my leaf can’t wait to unbox them on my channel! 😂 Love ya Fern and am so grateful to have found you this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎉
As far as removing the inflo on anthurium... I don't know what an expert would say, but I cut them off. My thinking is I don't want the plant putting energy into growing an inflo... I'd rather that energy go into a new leaf or roots. Great video!
Thanks to holiday cactus im obsessed with flowering houseplants now . I have three Thanksgiving cactus , two orchids only one hoya. Crimson queen but shes a baby.
Hey Fern💖 you can pull off anthurium inflo’s, the earlier the better. Every leaf produces 1 single inflo, it doesn’t have a special bloom cycle like alocasia. Also for anthurium lux hybrids that won’t get so big - get anything that doesn’t have magnificum in it. Crossed with mag get huuuuge😆
I love all your plants. Can you do a video on all your hojas and how you get them to bloom. I have lots of house plants and I just started buying hojas on Etsy. I have a princess queen, hoja Bella that arrived with blooms that were beautiful a hoja Matilde and sunrise. I had a few more but didn’t make it due to too much watering. But I learned my lesson about over watering any plants. Happy Holidays 🎄🎄🎄
I like the style of moving around to your different plant locations! At the very least we get to see where they live and it’s less work for you 😂 one question I have is how many FC are your shelf plants getting from the grow lights? I feel like I’m always moving my lights around and can never find a good spot. Edit: my pings are also super hardy, I’ve dropped one of mine TWICE and it hasn’t skipped a beat
Every anthurium leaf produces one inflo which takes alot of energy. If you chop it off it can use that energy for the next leaf instead 🙂 I’ve heard that as soon as the inflo has started the plant has already used the amount of energy it takes to fully produce it but that’s just a theory and one I don’t think is true. If an anthurium leaf begins growing and you stop watering it and fertilizing it, it will obviously show in its growth. Alocasias are completely different and I’ve heard numerous different ideas. Once someone cut the flower off and it continued to try and flower 7+ more times. I’ve also heard of someone allowing it to flower and it still just continued to flower for months 🤷♀️ I chop mine off since they’re ugly and use energy it could be using on its next leaf.
I love all your anthurium! So big and beautiful wow I just got a forgetii and I’m stoked 🌱✨ I also love love love monstera mint I got 3 different kinds 😅😅😅 if you ever come across one for good deal I highly recommend 💚
Dying to know if u do anything special to trigger Hoya blooms! I’ve tried so many things but I haven’t gotten any yet from my Curtisii or my publicaylx. Any tips?
Where did you get your heuschkeliana from? I know you’re in Canada and I’m in the states…. but there’s so much variety in what I see online! Yours is perfect 😍
Hi Fern! I wonder if peoples are like me and have a B. natunaensis..looks similar but is difficult to grow. I always look at yours and wish I had not got the natunaensis 😆 I use rubber bands mounted to the wall for my tall poles. Good picks mi'lady!! Looking forward to seeing you in 2025!!
Fern!! have you tried begonia propagation?? it's so funky, i've only succeeded twice myself with Rex type begonia, just wondering if that's something you've dived into
I just sat down with my coffee and thought to myself “i hope there’s a new fern video to set the vibes” ❤ too perfect
ahhh excellent timing :) enjoy your relaxation time! ☕️
Same!!

No literally i bought a luxurians because of fern’s crystal mag lux
So glad I’m not the only one who got anthuriums this year bc of this plant. I love that crystal x mag x lux hybrid. Anytime it’s in frame I can’t stop staring at it
😂 Same Anthuriums are my love I want only those beauties!
i’ve been having a rough year and lost about 1/3 of my collection from not being able to keep up with them and my mental health, after finding your videos again its given me much more motivation to fall back in love with my plant babies 🥺 thank you so much fern ❤️

Love how so many plants were snuck in 😅
Growing plants is therapeutic and satisfying on a spiritual level. I love aroids, hoyas, and begonias. I love your channel.
FERN OMG! My Krimson Queen also bloomed for the first time! I’ve had her for a few years now. I was so happy and totally thought of you and your KQ 🥰
This was my first year being into plants and I’m watching all your videos, currently I’m back 2.5 years lol I love seeing all the progress your plants have made and it’s fun to think about how much mine will grow in the next 2.5 years as well.
Happy Friday with a Fern video! ❤🪴🌵
Thank you so much for watching :)

yayyyy fern video. perfect timing. let me get my tea
Hope you enjoy! ☕️
I called it my mini drought when I didn’t water for 10-12 days. Some definitely were worse for the wear.
You have so many beautiful plants…it must’ve been so hard to just pick 10 ❤️
Your KD hybrid is so dark and beautiful 🥹 I’m obsessed! 🖤
My Krimson Queen blasted her blooms but she pushed more and they are doing well so 🤞😂
Talking about my plant collection can make me emotional at times too!! You’re such a joy and gift to the plant community!! Happy Holiday!! 🥰
Oooooooh YAY! Happy holidays everyone!

That Begonia is amazing! We have the same soft doggy stairs, I've two actually, and my bunch loves them. ❤
I think it’s pretty clear that the Vangviengiensis belonged with you. What a queen 👑
mealies go to warm spots. check your lights and plug cords at the walls. I recently saw photos of mealies clustering in those places.
The Fern by your bed is chefs kiss I love it, brings a warm suttle touch without being too all over
Sober plant guy has a lot of beautiful Hoya!
Love the polish on your nails. Very pretty. 😍
Hey Fern! I absolutely loved seeing your Hoya blooms at the end, and a video dedicated to that sounds wonderful. l just want to let you know that you singlehandedly influenced me to hop on the Hoya train this year. Loved this! 💚 Also your heuschkeliana is goals, I hope mine looks like that one day 😍
I didn't see the pallidiflorum on your favorites. 😊 That particular plant is my favorite. I finally got one.
I haven't finished watching your video. This time of the year is so busy. I wish to point out, when you check the source of mealy bugs and other bugs, look at the plants at the same height and at higher location. The bugs tend to fall down onto a lower plants. Good morning Fern! I hope you’re having a good day up there on the island. It’s dry but overcast here in Oregon.
Good morning!! Wet and rainy here today haha. Hoping for some dry days soon so I can get some chores done outside :)

Guuuurllll your plants grow so fast !😮
That’s a massive begonia. I didn’t know they got that big!
Your pallidiflorum has inspired me to look into anthurium. I really like those long bois, but have to wait for spring to ship things to my home 😖
All your plants are doing so well 😀 Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄🎅🇨🇦
Ugh, we have the same favies!!!!! ❤😊

You rock managing 300 plants! I have around 200 plants and I can’t handle more than that! I also have 4 kids, they take a lot of my time!
Love it! Find Hoya thomsonii 'Pink", so cute! Pink flowers and fuzzy!
I have gotten obsessed woth hoya over the past few months. I keep ordering hoya! I have too many faves.
OMG. I was telling myself "I'm surprised she didn't mentioned the Krimson Queen in the bloom segment" and your editing self popped out. I ❤ my vangviengiensis... Got it over the summer. It's amazing.
Hoya Patricia has gorgeous pink blooms fern!
I hope I don’t have to wait five years to get some of my Hoyas to bloom.
Yay!! My pallidiflorum came in and while potting it up I was thinking “what would fern do” 😂
3 days later I got a vittarifolium
Merry Christmas, thank you for the content 🌱🌿🫶🏼

It’s like the mealies are endemic to the wood.
I love your philodendrons Fern! They inspired me to add more to my collection. So far I've got a rojo congo, gloriousum, and my fav plant in my collection atm , a taxlanum red queen
🪴💚Have a Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 🌿
Love so much this kind of video especially by you ❤

I've never liked alocasias but your Frydek has me looking on Etsy 👀👀👀
Gorgeous plants💚

I'm in the same boat, I feel like every time I count it's like a hundred more! haha
I need a complete care video on pinguiculas because I have killed them 😅
I looove my watsoniana (sp?) and I have been able to gift so many babies. Mine corms like crazy. One of my all-time faves for sure.
It’s a very pretty Hoya. I want one of the variegated heschkeluanas
I turned your video on late last night and fell asleep. I guess I could hear you in my sleep and dreamed we were walking through a plant shop 😂
Happy Holidays Fern loving all your favorites, can you show me the mealy bugs cause I'm not seeing them and I have a feeling I have some but I spray with insecticidal soap . SENDING LOVE, HAPPINESS AND PEACE. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊Happy New Year 🎉🎉
Are you wearing two different polishes? The right hand looks silvery and the left looks orange-bronzy color
I got my Frysek var at garden works , 19.99. It looked fresh out of tissue culture and melted , but the corm came back to life and it’s doing well. Grows so fast

Great video !
I’m anxiously waiting to see if my Hoya’s will bloom in 2025
You have so many beautiful plant
Bangs are not for everyone but they look so good on you. Your hair has been looking better and better this year. Ok back to the plants 😂.
I love all your anthurium! So big and beautiful wow I just got a forgetii and I’m stoked 🌱✨ I also love love love monstera mint I got 3 different kinds 😅😅😅 if you ever come across one for good deal I highly recommend 💚
Beautiful! QQQ: what makes you decide on pon over soil? I see that you do both and I’m gathering orca and pon supplies but I have so much to learn.
Dying to know if u do anything special to trigger Hoya blooms! I’ve tried so many things but I haven’t gotten any yet from my Curtisii or my publicaylx. Any tips?
I have 4 glorious's, and none of them have efn's, granted they all come from the same mother plant.
Do you have a care video on your rat tail cactus?
Where did you get your heuschkeliana from? I know you’re in Canada and I’m in the states…. but there’s so much variety in what I see online! Yours is perfect 😍
Thank you for sharing! I hope you have an amazing 2025.
What’s your paulensis potting mix ?
Hi Fern! I wonder if peoples are like me and have a B. natunaensis..looks similar but is difficult to grow.
I always look at yours and wish I had not got the natunaensis 😆
I use rubber bands mounted to the wall for my tall poles.
Good picks mi'lady!! Looking forward to seeing you in 2025!!
is your begonia paulensis the same as natunaensis?
What's the name of the stringy plant you're moving at 6:50?
Fern!! have you tried begonia propagation?? it's so funky, i've only succeeded twice myself with Rex type begonia, just wondering if that's something you've dived into
I know orchid growers will cut off bloom spikes when they want to focus on growing foliage. Not sure if this is the same with anthurium but maybe?
I can see the sheen. Sometimes it does t show up on film.
