A mix of classic big beat choons from the 90s.
It's been ages since I've played some of these tracks. Straight-up hands-in-the-air, ass-shaking big beat goodness from the '90s mixed together on vinyl as only this DJ does it.
I wasn't going to say anything until I put something together, and now I have so I'm saying it... I'm not super happy with the set I played for Beat Up Christmas. (there... I feel better now) Not that I didn't have fun; I had a blast! It was my set...
Not that there was anything catastrophically bad about it, I just know I can do better when working with music I'm more familiar with. So I've bee playing my big beat records more and came up with a mix I can fully stand behind (even the little missteps that keep it from being "perfect in my eyes").
About 25% of the tunes in this mix are one I would go to on a fairly regular basis; the other 75% I rarely play (and had so much fun rediscovering for this set). So I invite you to grab a beer and turn up the bass... get ready to annoy the neighbors because BIG BEAT BANGS!
