This is rubbish. With the procedure demonstrated the maximum performance cannot be achieved. There is requirement of special tooling for measurement and adjustment to confirm proper tooth alignment. A few of the major settings are pinion to crown wheel tooth alignment distance, pinion bearing pre-load, crown wheel run out measurement, crown to pinion backlash, tooth contact footprint etc. Without these the performance would be degraded in longevity and noise generation.
