    Sitting up at Aberfeldy tonight cursing my knackered pump. Found your video, went outside, reattached the hose and now we have water again. Thank you VERY much!

      I’m so pleased the video helped. We no longer have our caravan as our circumstances have changed, but the video is helping folk so I’ve left it up. 👍

    Had the same problem, same solution!
    Was in the process of stripping down the pump as I found your video. Saved me a lot of time and effort.
    Thanks dude, appreciate your effort making the video.

      I’m delighted the video helped. I had thought of removing the video as we no longer have our touring caravan. However, so many folk have got in touch saying how helpful it was. It takes me back to arriving on site and finally getting the water flowing. Such a relief. Thank you for the comment. It made my day. 👍

    Wow. Just saved us a lot of worry! New to caravanning and pump kept going but no water..... as per your demo, I had put the water to close to caravan and the pipe had kinked and turned upside down. Thanks for sharing

    Suspected my external Truma pump was the problem. Thankfully I watched your video before buying a new one. Exactly the same problem. Thanks for taking the time to make the video.

      We’re really pleased to hear that, Tom. Thank you. We don’t have our touring caravan anymore but every time we get a comment like yours on this video we know we were right to keep this video available for other caravaners. Thanks again.

    You’re a top man, thank you! Turns out my hose had doubled up inside the aquaroll, panic over back to chilling in the Cornish sun!👏🏻👏🏻

    Cracking little video. Just had the same problem. The tube separated from the plastic connector inside the handle. Pump running forever with no water. All resolved now. Many thanks.

    Absolute legend! Come to site and exactly the same issues! Though the water pump had gone, tried all kinds, did initially fiddle with the inlet but didn't notice the hose was loose, but had completely Come off...thank you

    Thankyou for making this video; I had exactly the same problem on holiday, the hose was loose on the connector. We use the large Water hog barrels and the pipe is too short to reach the bottom so it looks like I need to replace the hose so that there is less stress on it

  • @dereksyme1852
    @dereksyme1852 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this video it inspired me to investigate the water intake pistol grip. What I found was not a disconnected hose, but perished O rings. Replaced them for £4.88. Who would have thought such a simple fault could cause so much trouble. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction 👍

    Thank you! Saved the day! Obviously switching between 2 aqua rolls for the first time (on Welsh site with Covid constraints) = wiggle of the pipe away from it's connector!

    Just seen your vlog, I changed the white (quite stiff) pipe for a length of blue food safe pipe that is much more flexible and goes from one aqua role to the other without flexing the pistol type connector which seems to work for me.

    I think the FloJet is the worse part of the caravan water system. Mine has come off like yours, but my system always gets air locks and I'm on site now with no water.

    • @t1outabout275
      @t1outabout275  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d like to think in an age of technology and innovation we wouldn’t need to rely on a jubilee clip on a piece of plastic to supply water, but that’s what we had. I hope newer caravans become more advanced, although I suppose a clip is easy to fix. Thanks for taking the time to comment. 👍

    • @marcandsebe
      @marcandsebe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      T 1 out & about It's a clamp on clip not a screw on one. I prefer the screw on ones.

    Did your pump actually make any noise at all trying to prime? Minea not even making any noise at all?

    • @t1outabout275
      @t1outabout275  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. I’m really sorry, I can’t remember. It was 6 years ago and we don’t have our caravan anymore. I left the video up as so many people have said they found it helpful. I think my pump did make a noise as if it was trying to draw up the water. If your pump isn’t making any noise at all, then I’m not sure what’s going on. The fault in my video is really only quite specific to the fault with the hose. Sorry. I hope you get everything sorted. Best wishes.

    well done Michael for owning up to a common mistake we all have done something like this .
    Can i ask that you fully unwind your electric cable from the drum as they do get very hot in use and can melt the inner core and cause a short or worse still catch fire.

    Hi l had a very similar problem. easly fix with a lenght of pastic over flow pipe.Take the blue filter of then cut your pastic pipe the lenght of your water barrel .slip it on you pipe put your filter back on fix with cable tie.your pipe can't turn up took 10 mins .

    • @t1outabout275
      @t1outabout275  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I've heard of pipes turning up on themselves, but this one didn't. This one had worked loose at the connector. It was a silly mistake I made - hence the blushes, and why I thought I'd make a video. Your solution to a pipe turning up on itself sounds great too. Perhaps you could make a video. 👍
