I was lucky to Kite Surf this rare spot on Maui!

On a rare day the wind wraps around Maui and makes the west side coastline epic for Kitesurfing. The only thing is the launch usually has tourist and no wind, so I had to swim my gear out.

I guess kiting in waves like that you ain’t gonna be flagging the kite? if you get into trouble releasing it before you and the kite get worked is probably the best thing to do…

I was surprised not to see a shorty leash either but he’s using a slide ring. Less chance of coming unhooked accidentally. And yes he will just ditch it if he get rolled up bad.
