I think it's all up to the person if he/she wants to throw it (things given by your ex) away but in my case, I wouldn't. DISCLAIMER: haven't been in a break up but I'm sure I wouldn't throw it away mainly because:
1. May pinag samahan kayo ng ex mo!
2. I agree with Saab. Why throw something away that has been a part of you?
3. Even if you ended breaking up, there is no doubt you shared good memories. Again. Why throw good memories away? :)
