I hope this Floydish experiment means we are getting closer to Yamaha rotary. And the extension of Binson preamp plugin into a full-blown Echorec model.
Roughly sounds like a chorus, which is modulated by an LFO... some more tweaks with it, but that's my impression listening to the processed vocals. The effect itself sounds interesting
quite interesteing, but first thing in mind was a mix of tremolo + panner + phaser plugins will bring pretty similar stuff. Would like to see the original old Frequency Translator from Keith Adkins, comparison between hardware and software would even be cooler..
As far as we (and Alan) know, the original box no longer exists. Instead of emulating the exact device, we focused on capturing the core concept behind the effect.
This is exactly what wobblers do, the comfort is that you have it all in one device. Today, many artists make their initial mixes for further composition and do not have time to tinker with the creative process like producers do in the mix, so in addition to the extraordinary usefulness for producers allowing for saving time, there is already a huge and growing group of users using the plugin for so-called creative work in which the speed of translating the idea into sound is crucial for the emerging composition. The comparison of equipment always belongs to the user anyway, after all, what is the use of a comparison made by someone if we do not hear it personally due to not having the hardware?
The difference is like between Ableton Autofilter, Denise Audio motion filter, Soundtoys Phasemistress or any of the Arturia similar plugins, so if they have their own versions then PSP also has its own plugin offering such possibilities, so the more choice the greater comfort for the user, in addition it is PSP so it offers the highest quality available on the market achievable only by two or three other companies producing plugins. If you don't hear it then too bad, the biggest producers in the industry hear it very easily.
@ is that meta, if a bot calls a human a bot in response to being called a bot? Does your programming allow for a response to my question that isn’t just a regurgitated imitation of the question that is unintelligible?
@@phillipdrummond Hello again meta.. In contrast to the products of the fantasies of craftsmanship of average producers, there are many artists on the market working with artists with different voice specifications, creative sensitivity, and the sound of the instruments they use. Plugins, like hardware, are not universal, often small differences in the sound in the final mix turn out to be strategic and a lot depends on these subtle differences inaudible to the craftsmen, you need some experience with various high-quality sounds so as not to ask such questions about the differences in equipment, especially if it concerns the offers of companies such as PSP or UAD as well as several others that offer a sound closest to analogue equipment, of which there are many on the market and no one asks about the justification for their creation. Learning the difference is experience and not accusing botting, which as you can see you do yourself accusing others of it. So what is the difference between the plugins you listed? If you are not a bot accusing others of being bots, you will explain it relatively comprehensively and not play around with a closed form in the form of empty criticism dressed up in a cunning form of criticism. Probably your answer will be an answer to the question you asked, which has a quality in the style of: Why do we need API or SSL when we have Neve, why do we need various EQs and Co-compressors when we already have several on the market ....? So don't be shy to dive deeper into the topic, I'll help you as much as I can. I promise .
That's a BEAUTIFUL (and useful) blast from the past! 👍🏻👍🏻 The only thing that I hope/wish is that PSP did NOT use the pesky iLok authorization system at least for this one - no point in (and no intention of) entering into a data sharing & technical reliance relationship with a third party company just to be able to use something one pays for and purchases from another company. Many other developers, like PA, IK, Boz, Melda, Hornet etc do perfectly well without it. Maybe this collaboration with the great Alan Parsons could be a great occasion to change copy protection & authorization systems, or at least to make an exception for this product.
I've been waiting for someone to make this plugin for almost 20 years. THANK YOU!!!!
You welcome.
The glide function is a great idea. I am impressed. I am getting the demo now.
yes, reminding me of a rotary speaker acceleration. sounds lovely.
@@tube-2025 thanks a lot for your feedback
Agreed, it was sounding cool before they got to that, but the glide feature just makes this one exceptional. Great job!
Great demonstration. Congratulations on another fabulous release.
Fantastic… like a leslie but better. That glide feature is a game changer for transitions.
Has a nice sound, warm and wobbly. Nice job guys! :-)
There is no such thing as a weak PSP Audioware plugin, it doesn't exist. This one just proves it once again !
Thats great dear guys from PSP!!!! Congrats! Cheers from The Netherlands, Jeroen Simons, Independent, Epica.
Thank you.
wow, this sounds great
Thanks.
PSP knocking it out of the park!

Well, this is an unexpected surprise!

Give it a try.
sounds great!
very nice

What did Alan change in his appearance.

I completely agree. I also think it has pretty narrow applications, but cool if you don't overdue it.

cool
Just off the top of my head what if you added a rotor (rotary speaker) effect?
How is this different from Ableton Autofilter, Denise Audio motion filter, Soundtoys Phasemistress or any of the Arturia similar plugins?

not a phaser, a bit more throbby sounding, like the Uni-Vibe
So creamy!

Does it do oversampling?
Does it sound good?
?
@@PSPaudioware I think crankfar means this: if it sounds good, it doesn`t matter, if OS is involved or not.
Is this free?
No, it isn't, but we are currently running an introductory offer, and you can purchase it for only $49.99.
Serious? 🤦♀ there is a tons of plugins that can do that 🤦♀
Yep, anything to sell more
Which ones?
Cymtonic The Drop under certain settings yes.
@@dedepvd you can do it on halftime but with halftime have to set it to -5 semi -1octave for it to operate
Have you tried it?
