I don't care what anyone says this is one the best dramas and it's not because I ship her with teak or whatever. The reason is because they went against the norm of kdramas and made her end up with the second lead and actually made it a love triangle worth watching. This is like a milestone for korea, all dramas should at least try to follow

I think this drama is more abt deoksun, finding her true love, without anyone telling her to. She fell in love with Taek naturally, when she didn't even know that the feeling was mutual. With SW&JH, it was different. she clearly started to like them, only for the sake of them liking her and cause her friends told her to. It was a good drama and the ending felt real, even though it seemed bit rushed.
you're on point, this is the 1st kdrama that isn't predictable.. but I have to agree with +Daavar I didn't see Taeik as the 2nd lead (not because I ship them IRL) he has more personalities of the husband than of JungHwan (e.g. he smokes).. ending was a bit rushed..

But frankly I thought it fair and was pleased with how they wrapped it. There’s a point being made there. It’s been more than 2 years since this aired, and I’m still looking for a gem like this show. I mean there’s been some pretty good shows afterwards, but I’m still waiting for one that gives me the same feels as this one. The closest show that has managed to do so was probably Father is strange.

I cried watching this drama. It perfectly portrayed my young days and childhood. It brings back all things in the past before we know internet. It brings back all the memories of old friends and my parents. The way the parents raised their kids just like I have. Many things missing. Mutual friendship and simple life. I just remember my old lime watching this. Really good drama.
This drama warmed my heart. I love BoGum he is pure (in front and behind the camera). And the female lead is also pure and down to earth, unlike many female leads in KDrama where they are arrogant and cold. She fits with Taek well.
my assumption on why junghwan gave up on DS to taek was because of the TIMING he mentioned before. he hesitated on going after DS even though he knows that DS was left alone but Taek who went after DS despite of his Baduk competition. Thus, it makes Junghwan realizes that Taek wants her more than he do because of the little hesitation. it's kinda sad though that junghwan couldnt even get his first love but this is how the real world works. we don't always get what we wanted even more if we didn't work had for it (probably this is what the writers want to emphasize; put aside of all the rumors stated that the husband was decided on the last 4 ep). lastly, who can resist taek's cuteness? whoooo?
True true..I already guessed in ep 18 when Junghwan mentioned about fate & timing that he gave up. I'm Team Junghwan but was frustrated when he didn't even try to express his feelings so that DS can decide whom she should choose. Or should I say he confessed but then said it was a joke ( I'm disappointed in him). Seeing Taek & DS in ep 19 & 20 somehow makes me happy..they love each other & live happily...that's what matters.
I feel sad for Junghwan. He's just a kid who's too awkward to show his affection. His story gives us lesson that we should not hesitate to show our feelings, or people will never know and we are the only one to blame for never showing it. He's a good sport, though. When he wasn't the typical drama noble idiot, he admit his loss to Taek. He got mad in his car hearing that Taek sacrificed the most important thing in his life, Baduk, for Deoksun. Junghwan is not mad at Taek but to himself. In the rooftop on meteor shower, He wished Taek is a bad person so he can hate him, but he can't because Taek is never bad. As what has been pointed out that this drama main theme is family, not husband hunting... I think it is fair to give Junghwan a closure where his family internal problems resolved. He no longer awkward with his parents and all. It was his closure. However, I am still a bit disappointed that the older 5 friends wasn't all showed in the final episode.
The writer didn't change anything in the story she planned, that's a fact, this is the first drama I watch with 2 male leads. But i understand your feeling because if DS didn't end up with Taek i would have gone mad, like the majority of the audience. Why ? Because he's sooo cute.
Deoksun never chose Taek because there isn’t a choice given in the first place. For JH, Deoksun only want someone to like her but she never really pay attention to who she likes. And JH confesses, but Deoksun never even get the fiance ring… love is not always two sides. Deokson was young then and was pressured to find someone who likes her. To me, she loves Taeks from the beginning but she didn’t know it yet. Taek’s love for her though was consistent
THIS doeksun had always loved taek unknowingly to the point where she would always joke about him marrying her or saying she will seduce him, she only thought she liked sunwoo and junghwan cause her friends said they liked her but with taek she grew to realise her feelings for him after dongryong told her to focus more on thinking about who she likes rather than who likes her
I was upset with the ending at first.. with no OTP conclusion or wedding.. but i was happy that I have enjoyed this Family Drama.. They did not end it like any other typical kdrama where the ending was focused on the main couple..They ended it in a very heart warming manner. This drama will be added to my favorite drama of all time. by the way Hyeri and Bogum really has quite some chemistry going on!! their sweet scenes are indeed so romantic and their kisses are so realistic.. #TeamSunTaek FTW!!!!

I was rooting for Taek the whole way through. Was so glad to see they ended up together. This is only my second kdrama, but i can't believe how great this series was. Easily the best show I've ever watched, ever.
Initially i was fine with her ending up with either jung hwan or taekie but when it started to seem like she was going to end up with jung hwan i realised i wasn't too happy, taekie deserved her more and am glad they ended up together
I knew early on that Taek is the husband after the episode with the chocolate. But the deal was sealed for me in the episode where he and JH were both watching Deuk Sun and Dong Ryong dancing. Taek glanced at JH looking at Deuk Sun. Taek recognized the look in JH face. It was the " look of love"...!!! I could see the expression on Taek's face hardened to one of resolve to win the girl. It was the look of competition...I got the sense in Taek's expression that he was going to use everything in him that made him a champion at Baduk to win the love of his life...he's not a champion of strategy for nothing!!

musikkforeva hi! Funny I am now going to reply 1 month later. I just watched the show and am now watching all the scenes and cute moments because I miss them already. I know you asked the person above for their analysis with the chocolate so I will leave that for that for that person. But to answer which boy received the chocolate it was Sung Sun- woo. Because if you look carefully at the end of episode 2 when it goes back to the past and the camera was set down earlier in the episode it shows that Deok-Sun left it in Sun-woo’s backpack.

Indeed it was in whatever sunwoo picked up, but we see that she had dragged Taek out of the room (in a hurry so maybe she forgot or got shy about it) and maybe Sunwoo picked up Taek’s belongings for him as he was the last one to leave. Either that or the fact that DS kept mentioning how she took up a lot of carbon monoxide around that time which made her forgetful (so maybe she misplaced the chocolate thinking it was Taek’s jacket while trying not to be seen by Jinju). And he never got it at the end anyway, since the chocolate was stolen by Jung bong while they were in the room (there’s a lot of analysis on that). Amidst all this confusion, I believe the main aim was still for Taek since DS confidently remembers that it was her husband she always liked even before being influenced by her friends.
@@candylovers495 I did some research on this and believe it was definitely for Taek but Deok Sun either misplaced the chocolate as she was in a rush or forgot to let Taek pick up his own stuff while dragging him out of the room so Sun Woo did it for him. Either way, the chocolate had been stolen by Jung Bong (he stopped the recording on the camera to do it while they were in the room), so no one got it

Indeed it was in whatever sunwoo picked up, but we see that she had dragged Taek out of the room (in a hurry so maybe she forgot or got shy about it) and maybe Sunwoo picked up Taek’s belongings for him as he was the last one to leave. Either that or the fact that DS kept mentioning how she took up a lot of carbon monoxide around that time which made her forgetful (so maybe she misplaced the chocolate thinking it was Taek’s jacket while trying not to be seen by Jinju). And he never got it at the end anyway, since the chocolate was stolen by Jung bong while they were in the room (there’s a lot of analysis on that). Amidst all this confusion, I believe the main aim was still for Taek since DS confidently remembers that it was her husband she always liked even before being influenced by her friends.
@@candylovers495 I did some research on this and believe it was definitely for Taek but Deok Sun either misplaced the chocolate as she was in a rush or forgot to let Taek pick up his own stuff while dragging him out of the room so Sun Woo did it for him. Either way, the chocolate had been stolen by Jung Bong (he stopped the recording on the camera to do it while they were in the room), so no one got it
