After basically 2 years away from soccer... Then goes on to win the Ballon D'or and Fifa World Player of the Year that same year. .... NOBODY WILL EVER DO THAT
R9 won the world cup soon after recovering from injury and did not have enough playing ti.e before the world cup. There were also much better defenders during the era of R9 and the Leagues R9 played in were more competitive than today's.
Ronaldinhos idol Is Ronaldo 9 he stands alone on an old Land of his own League above the Sky the strongest ever. So gifted he didnt Need training like others all the time. So dominant even the manager used to Say to his players : you are all equals to me, not him he could wahtever he want. And the team agree with him , the best players Who Met him After enjuries was impressed he was terrificant. Many think he could have won the Golden ball for at least 7/8 Times how strong he was
People forget R9 won the world cup soon after recovering from injury and he did not have enough playing time before the world cup. There were also much better defenders during the era of R9 and the Leagues R9 played in were more competitive than today's The weight gain is due to an illness
That is how good he was. Pele and R9 are from another galaxy, I haven't see anything like them. No disrespect to Maradona, Messi, CR7, Ronaldinho, Zinadine, Garrincha, etc.
Every time I watch a R9 video there is stuff I've never seen. If you haven't watched yet, I'd recommend looking for Adriano and Romario videos, they were insane too
My favorite player all time! He was a beast and dropped defenders and keepers like flies... Strong, clinical, immaginative, visionary, smooth, goalie killinn' player with swagg! Ridiculous!
11:55 » I suffered the same injury and it HURTS, dude. I postponed the surgery because I would've lost the last year at school and wouldn't be able to join the university, so my knee used to come out of its place in any stronger/faster move I did or stepping on irregular floors. so yes, I kinda understand him, 'cause I was never able to do beautiful stepovers like I did before injury, even after the surgery. it has something to do with the pain memory when feeling the knee still is kinda "loose" and might come off place again.
I was actually a California All-State Goalie my senior year in High School . Played Ronaldo's position my entire life before High School and led the league in goals scored every year from U-8 through u-14 but something about Goalie pulled me in. And yeah it is an extremely hard position to play, it's mostly about instinct, vision and bravery. You cannot be afraid to get hurt and you end up on the ground getting kicked or stepped on very often, I accumulated 6 sprained ankles, a fractured kneecap, 3 Broken Rips, 4 Broken Toes, 3 Broken Fingers and 2 Concussions and only sat out for 30 mins the entire time cause we were up 5-0 in the first half and I had just sprained my ankle and had a broken rib from a few games before, shit was brutal. But with a good enough player they can fake you out and make you think they are shooting causing you to go to the ground in an attempt to block the ball using your whole body especially when facing a player of that level. Really the hardest position in the game cause you need to be aware of everything going on while paying attention to the guy with the ball and calling out offensive runs to your defenders. You are basically the Field General. Honestly I loved it, cause I was the last line of defense and I loved/thrived on the pressure of being that Last Line of Defense.
He had an undetected illness - the hyperthroid - that caused him to gain weight no matter his conditioning, which of course put more stress on his legs, and led to the injuries. Look for other vids on him: he's was electrifying as Messi.
Hi; I'm from Germany and I just discovered your awesome reaction channel. Your Nr. One of the sport is Ronaldinho and this is a good choice. Many others would see Ronaldo Phenomenon or Lionel Messi as the goat and that's also reasonable. I have another best of all times. It's Diego Armando Maradona from Argentina. He was the one, he was the best I've ever seen in almost 50 years of watching the game. Maradona was an artist, a genius, an athlete, a little boy and a great leader, he was the one sent from heaven to make people love the sport. Let me just give you one example. In 1986 Germany faced Argentina in the World Cup Final. Maradona led the South Americans to victory and though I was devasteted as my country lost the final I knew that one man deserved this title like no other ... Diego Armando Maradona ... (R.I.P)
Fenomeno is a nickname. It's from the same root as the English word phenomenal. His full name is Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima. If not for his injuries, there would be ZERO debate about who the greatest footballer of all time was. He lost the footballer of the year award by a SINGLE vote at 19 years old. At 20, he won it. If you compare his rate of goals scoring by the age of 23 (when he had his first major injury) - he scored twice as many as Cristiano Ronaldo at the same age, and 50% more than Messi at the same age.
Its a real shame, R9 would have been the best player ever but for all the serious injuries. In his prime he was just unstoppable. You should watch one of the skills/goals videos he has, just some crazy stuff.
There is no shame, he beat the game by 20 years old and still came back and made people look stupid while fat and was faster then them. Messi and Cristiano worked hard. Ronaldo just was, is and that's it.
His full name is Ronaldo nazario de Lima and his nick names are R9 or ronaldo9 and phenomenon he was a monster on a pitch that's why they call him phenomenon my all time fav i watched him play live and I know his full story I followed him from his first ever Barca game and I loved to watch him play he was something else ... I am his biggest fan and my biggest desire is to meet him
To help you understand better: All of us who love soccer are aware that staying in the world top 5 with the two injuries Ronaldo had is unfeasible, and he achieved it. Moreover, if you are a player who stands out for your speed and dribbling, having those injuries would mean the end of the career for 70% of players; for the other 30%, it would mean going from a top player to a good or average player. But he was so incredibly good and superior that even when completely hindered, he was still better than 99.5% of players
Another great player to check out is Kylian Mbappe from Paris-Saint Germain. I don't think you've seen eacted to this video below called, "Making the Case" why Larry Bird is the best NBA player ever. Amazing video and have to give props to the guy who made the video considering ALL of the Footage and Stats he had to track down and verify for the video th-cam.com/video/Pxf4RzocHN8/w-d-xo.html
Well done as always! Great reaction for a great champion! But... What the fuck! How do you say what hyperthyroidism is? How come you don't know anyone with thyroid disease?
You think that was crazy look at the video of el magico Gonzales my boy ronaldo even said he learned his move and even Diego Armando maradona said that magico Gonzales was better then him he play for Cadiz España play on the 82 to 90 something like that
The truth needs to be said. There are players above Messi and Cr7. We are not talking about winning 7, 8 ballon'd or or scoring too many goals. We are talking about technical capacity, doing the impossible, being magician or football artists! Messi and Cr7 would not win any ballon'dor if they played in the same prime time as R9 or Ronaldinho. Messi and CR7 have more than 5 ballon'dor because they had it easy due to the lack of competition in their generation. In the generation of R9 and Ronaldinho, the competition to win ballon'dor was like 6, 7 players competing for the trophy. In Messi and CR7 generation, it was always two players, who are Messi and CR7. That was easy , easy, easy!
hey only pelé >fenomeno serious, brazil have the players messi dont catch ronaldo ok he is unique, fantasia, strong, faster, killer, hey kkkkk messi dont have a single title kkkkkkkkkkkkk this is a joke
R9.. all in one perfect player.. the 🐐 "phenomenon" 💪
Bro nobody won a world cup scoring 8 goal in the tournament with one knee. NO ONE!! Not even Christiano or Messi...
he's called a phenomen for a reason
After basically 2 years away from soccer... Then goes on to win the Ballon D'or and Fifa World Player of the Year that same year. .... NOBODY WILL EVER DO THAT

“Fenomeno” it’s a nickname, it means phenom, so when they call him “ronaldo fenómeno” they’re calling him the phenom because of how good he was
The finest humble professional footballer
Phenomenon 👑
Semplicemente FENOMENO!!!
People forget R9 won the world cup soon after recovering from injury and he did not have enough playing time before the world cup.
There were also much better defenders during the era of R9 and the Leagues R9 played in were more competitive than today's
The weight gain is due to an illness
31 goals in 48 appearances is elite level in modern football, and that was R9 after injury and weight gain.
That is how good he was. Pele and R9 are from another galaxy, I haven't see anything like them. No disrespect to Maradona, Messi, CR7, Ronaldinho, Zinadine, Garrincha, etc.
His knee injuries killed him and the truth is he should have never played football again .. that’s how bad the injuries were
31 goals and 13 assits. 46G/A in 48 games. This is still insane!!
Ronaldo Nazario is the best I have ever seen, Ronaldinho, Messi very close as well as Maradona
THE GOAT.
A fully fit R9 was unstoppable!!!
His name is Ronaldo Nazario but his nickname is phenomenon
Aka the goat
Every time I watch a R9 video there is stuff I've never seen. If you haven't watched yet, I'd recommend looking for Adriano and Romario videos, they were insane too

My favorite version of Ronaldo was is 96/97 for Barcelona \o/ a monster ...
My favorite player all time! He was a beast and dropped defenders and keepers like flies... Strong, clinical, immaginative, visionary, smooth, goalie killinn' player with swagg! Ridiculous!
