I abbbsolutely loved the art and cinematography in this show, however the plot really confounded me.....didn't get a lot of it. It was way too complicated. I'd love a little summary of it....would be very helpful 😓
Drama Name - Light shop About the clothes in her mouth: She is already dead. So they stuffed her mouth with a fabric. It's her 3 days wish to be fulfilled, after 3 days she would have no chance to wander off in the afterlife and would be real dead person. Synopsis: This man is the guard of light shop where almost dead persons wander around in Afterlife. There's a bus accident and everyone in that bus , they have their individual story..this story is about this guard man and his daughter and his granddaughter. His daughter ( Here, this ajumma) , in childhood there was a collapse and they stucked.. the daughter stucked in a position that she couldn't be come out and would die after few times but she remained calm, as usual she peeled the wrapper and fed her father.. then the father said her to wait there, he will come back.. he'll go for help.. now he came to the light shop. he requested helplessly to another lady( who was in charge of Light shop that time) in the end that lady and the father made a deal.. and he got her daughter's light and went again under the collapse and gave her light... that's how she got the life and he remained in that light shop. Now his daughter came to him for her daughtet to find for her daughter's light( means the father's granddaughter, whom he already knew, but didn't know that she's the granddaughter) here after he opened his glass, she recognised him that he's her father( coz when he gave her light in childhood, she saw that snake eyes of her father) now she tried him to remember that she's his daughter and in the end, he also recognised her. That's the story.

I cried when I realized that she was the daughter from the limp, and he has been interacting with his granddaughter all this time. She got to spend her eternity with her dad.
This show is a perfect example of how to do 8 episodes almost everything was resolved. This is the kind of great story telling I hope to see from Korea in the future.
I cried when she got on her knees and grabbed the candy. All the pieces came together at that moment and her picking out the yellow and feeding him one solidified who she was. I really hope there’s a second season and we see her daughter and the man who was going to propose and have the other unsolved mysteries be explained (I.e. why he couldn’t remember his gf and whether he’s going to end up in a downward spiral, the missing hs girl victim and how she is going to impact the girl)
If you didn't know a theory is that some of the characters we will see in moving season 2 but team ups to fight evil ghosts because of tge cameo at the end

I have started watching this show. Its been 3 episodes..and i must say, how fantastic it is !! The cinematography is top notch, the kinds that korean movies are known for. And all the great actors. I watch 1 episode a day, so I savor every moment of it.
Initially, this revelation seemed to me to come out of nowhere and a little too convenient, but if you analyze the series, the clues were there, they just had to be picked up: when Hyun-ju shows up at the shop and Won-young offers her a candy, she always chooses the butter one, saying that it was also her mother's favorite and that, as we have seen, she ate them even when she was little; in addition to this, the insistence of Hyun-ju's mother, Yoo-hee, in making her buy a light bulb, every time, at the shop is dictated by her past experience, in which the ghost of Won-young, her father, made a pact with the previous owner of the light shop, that is, to take her place in exchange for her daughter's light, so that she could return to the land of the living. As we know, the owner, at least in theory, cannot bring lights to the living people who are wandering in the realm of the dead, it must be their will to guide them to the light, so, seeing the frustration of his daughter Hyun-ju, Yoo-hee was forced to do exactly what her father did for her, that is, to be able to bring Hyun-ju's light to her. It is not clear whether breaking this rule has consequences, but it is obvious that, Won-young's initial reluctance, in finding out that Yoo-hee is his daughter and, consequently, Hyun-ju is his granddaughter, moved him to make an exception to the rule. It is a sad story, but also very touching; more uncertain is the story of the awakened Hyun-ju, who has already fought against her mother to remain in the realm of the dead with her, but who in the end was forced by Yoo-hee to return and we see her in a decidedly depressive state, which would also make sense given the mourning she suffered, but also due to the memory of the whole near-death experience, which now allows her to see ghosts and which could lead to something in the future, in a second season.
I think whoever returned from near death experience, they also can see ghosts. and trust me, I thought Ju Ji Hoon and his daughter's story must've involve Park Bo Young. But I amazed. But you are right. there's many hints... and also starting from ep 8 it's revealed coz of her name... Ju Ji Hoon called her Yuhui and who decorated and worked for funeral, he also called the name. There's always many hints. I didn't know that a spooky, horror drama would be turned this roller coaster ride. ❤
@@EPIPHANY-drama I actually thought we would see the backstory of Nurse Kwon Young-ji, which we partly saw after she woke up, but not her exact experience of death, but I think it wasn't relevant in an absolute sense, except that she was one of those who returned with her memories intact and the ability to interact with the dead.
I love how the first half of the series we all thought It's a horror film, we all thought characters who are actually so loving and caring as evil.And then they drop the second half of the series everything changed.
