Did The Bad Batch reveal one of Rex’s high-level contacts inside the Galactic Empire? On Eriadu, a group of high-ranking Imperial officers gathered for a summit with Governor Tarkin. Doctor Hemlock was there to give a report on his cloning program at Mount Tantiss, but what he revealed shocked everyone in the room. His use of decommissioned clone troopers as test subjects caused Admiral Coburn, who had served with the clones for years, to come to their defense. He made it clear that these warriors were loyal and did not deserve to be dismissed out of hand.
This puts Admiral Coburn in an interesting position. His sympathetic view towards clone rights is at odds with that of other Imperial officers, making him a prime candidate to provide intel to Rex’s resistance network. Interestingly, Coburn served with Commander Wolffe during the Clone Wars, who years later would go into hiding with Gregor and Rex on Seelos. So it’s entirely possible that Coburn is Rex’s man on the inside.

@@timalsept2854first of all, no, second of all still no, third of all you are shipping a child soldier and a clone that was (during the close wars) basically a child as well in an adult body (clones have rapid aging) and even if he was an actual adult during the clone wars (remember they are physically one age, and biologically another) then you are shipping an adult with a teenager, who almost definitely was underdeveloped mentally due to being taught he had to fight from the very beginning of his life. And don’t try and turn around and say “oh I’m shipping in rebels they’re both adults” you said she saved him because she liked him. She was at the oldest (by estimate) 18 (you know, STILL A CHILD) and even so, if you have to age them up to be able to ship them and it not being weird? That’s messed up. But noooo, if they talked to each other basically every day due to being… y’know part of the same army in a war, and we’re friends that means they must like each other definitely. That is how every war works. You need absolute animals to do what it takes but unfortunately there is no place for those animals in the peace afterwards. In a "decent" society they just have a hell of a time trying to adjust to peace after the ravages of war. In this case, as well as what they did in communism etc. which showcases the evil, you don't want the warriors that overthrew the govt to exist when the new govt is implemented. That way you don't have a battle proven war force ready to jump right back in and put you down because you are actually worse than what they just overthrew.

Sadly the clones were set up to suffer a slew of legislative, administrative, ethical and moral problems. Basically bred slave soldiers, with no other training or life to go back to after war. They were basically sprung on the republic; had the republic known they were coming 10 years ago, they would have had much more time to come up with legislation or administrations for this army.

If I was Rex’s guys I would have openly expressed extra disregard or hatred for the clones. Give them no reason to suspect me

Even on a military stand point it doesn’t make sense. Why get rid of your veteran battle hardened soldiers and replace them with a ton of FNGs? It would be better to keep the clones to train the new soldiers and pass on their teachings in their units rather than completely discard them. It’s a waste of resources and potential

Am I the only one who thinks he looks like that droopy cartoon dog. Like I have expected him to look at the camera and say something depressing in a high pitch cartoon voice

If that is true, that Coburn is the inside man for captain Rex, do you think because he has the ability to get close to people such as grandma turkey do you think that he would be able to get close to emperor Palpatine or his second in command Darth Vader Without being killed first
