Great video! So helpful and thank you for recommending the Mexican place at Houston Market. My son might attend UPenn in fall of 2024. I'm worried about the food, lol. He's always looking for healthy food but in very large portions. He's picky and knows how to cook well himself so he knows when he's getting a good deal. The dining hall at Rice University is beautiful, btw. He'll be applying to both schools but is attending a fly-in for Penn so will most likely ED. Thanks again for taking the time to record this video. I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors! 🙏🏼
Aw I appreciate your comment! There's another bento station at Houston Market that has large portions and is pretty good! And there are a lot of off-campus restaurants near campus like Chipotle & Sweetgreen (albeit kind of pricy). The dining hall is also all-you-can-eat, so I don't think you need to worry! I'll probably post 2 more Penn food shorts coming soon :) And I agree, I love Rice's campus! Good luck to your son with college apps! (I'm biased, but hope to see him at Rice haha 😆)
My mean older sister Emily is gonna be a Senior at Penn this fall she loves it she’s on the Field Hockey team and is studying Health and human development thank goodness she’s out of the house we’re from Wyoming Pennsylvania so she can’t pick on me anymore
Hi! I am going to be applying for the gwi 2024 internship and I was hoping you could give me some tips to stand out, what kinds of things or activities did you mention in the application?
Hi!! To be honest, I think you really just have to be yourself like in college apps! I personally volunteer a lot, so I tied that into wanting to make a social impact through investing. I also mentioned my involvement in some business orgs, including being the VP of Rice Women in Business, which had a mission that I think aligned pretty closely with GWI's. I'm a double Business + English major, so I talked about how the latter helped me build skills like communication that are useful in the finance world too. I think having other interests makes you well-rounded! Maybe also tie them back to how they can help you in asset management. And I think it's okay if you don't know that much about asset management (bc that was me before GWI lol) as long as you show an eagerness to learn and try it out- since their goal is 30% of the world's investable capital to be managed by women by 2030. But these are just some thoughts, definitely take them with a grain of salt haha. You can def approach the app in many different ways! Hope this was somewhat helpful- best of luck applying! :)
@@shanichiang Do you know the acceptance rate for the program? 🥹 I don’t go to a prestigious university like a lot of the girls i’m seeing on their instagram and I’m not feeling the most confident :(
love this! makes me want to get into the program even more!

@@shanichiang Hi! Did you do early action or regular decision for GWI?
@@catherines1936 I did early action! I don't believe there's an admissions advantage though, I just wanted to receive a response earlier
@@shanichiang Thanks!!
