DON’T CUT THIS SERIES. Bro, looking at NBA history this exact way is elite and nostalgic and educational and entertaining. Don’t change a thing. Let YOURSELF cook
that article complaining about living in an age of instant gratification is so wild. like either he saw the path we would go down super early or that was all he could take and he's completely lost it by now lmao
21:38 I think I found Peter May's most recent article, its called "The champion Boston Celtics - this is just the beginning" for the Boston Globe two months ago. He seems retired though otherwise.
6:12 this is what makes the Kawhi shot so poetic. 2001 raptors sixers game 7 Vince Carter with a shot at the buzzer for a chance to make the ecf and he misses. 18 years later raptors sixers game 7 Kawhi Leonard with a shot at the buzzer for a chance to make the ecf and he makes it. You couldn’t script it better if u tried…
Dude, I love this content. I never watched this era of basketball, and you are the guy I want to explain it to me. I love video essays, and u can definitely do that.
What a perfect team for the beginning of this series. Iverson is low key one of the most influential players in basketball history. Nobody was wearing arm sleaves before AI, he popularized the cornrows and the baggy shorts. Hell even Chris Paul and D. Wade wear number 3 because of him. What a player man. People clown on him because of the practice stuff but anyone who watched him play in an actual game knew he gave it his all every night. Raja's story is really awe inspiring. He got his chance since injuries plagued this sixers team the whole year. If i recall correctly even Snow and Mckie were injured during the playoff run and played through it. Raja got his chance and capitalized on it. I also love the quote from Matt Geiger in that last article "I looked at Detroit and didn't think Allen and I would've been better off there" Dude wasn't even thinking just about the money, he was looking out for his guy too.
This is such a good concept. There's so many teams historically that deserve a deep dive like this. And it's super cool as a new age NBA fan to learn the small details of why a team like the 01' Sixers was so great. Please keep this series going!
GREAT video! As a kid, this run was one of my favorites. I remember Iverson feeling like a superhero every series. My memory rates Iverson's Game 1 win over the Lakers as a more valuable moment to my fandom than most rings.
These random deep dive videos are always so captivating… i love learning about the things that no one else covers and it’s why I been fw ur content for almost 10 years
Love this idea for a series Kenny! I think one of the shames of the nba is how we forget alot of good not great teams awesome to shine lights on some random rosters and seasons throughout nba history
Please keep this series, it's amazing! I went into this one thinking you might've landed a team that's too 'mainstream' given it was an iconic legendary team - but I still learnt so many easter eggs!
You should watch the documentary on this season. It’s really telling to see the conflict between Larry brown and AI during the season. But to see them able to make the finals through it all
Love this idea for videos. This took me back. From Philly and was going into high school that year. That team was amazing and it was a crazy time in the city. Especially after the game 1 win against the Lakers. Matt Geiger is that man's name btw. He da goat for messing up that trade. U did good for someone who wasn't a fan at the time 💪🏽
In 2001 I feel in love with basketball the same way too bruh my sister put me on to Iverson at that time never seen a player that looked like him from there he’s been my favorite all time still is in I’m in my 30s 💪🏽💪🏽🐐🔥🙏🏾
Let’s get this video to 7500-10K+ likes ASAP! I feel like 10K likes shows ppl rly like it, went through like 10 of his other videos and that seems to be the number. 10K. I say likes bc it’s not like I can tell ppl on here to view it lol. Let’s obv watch the next ones (hope he does them) ASAP, but yea. Hopefully it can get a couple hundred thousand views in the first week or so, but let’s get this and the future ones 10K likes. Show him it’s worth making a series, even if it’s only like 6-8 episodes a year during the dead period. Hopefully it doesn’t get demonetized…if it does maybe he can stream it or something. Then the vod, and the video on here…they’re just gravy and it’s not a huge deal if they do get demonetized. 🙏
New series???
Love it
Please I’m praying kenny keeps making these🔥
This is gonna go for like 4 episodes we know Kenny.
don’t worry he’s gonna do like 4 episodes max lmao
@@TheoP-qq6svThis is why Kenny is the best basketball TH-camr he's so creative he's better than Jimmy high roller who mumbles stats

For AI to have accomplished what he did at his height and weight is truly remarkable. Amazing quarterback too. Natural athlete and tough as nails.

Raja Bell love 💜🧡 I remember when Kenny would take random role players and try to make them MVP. Raja would be a good one for that series.
