- "The New Neverland" -- The residents of Storybrooke are overjoyed upon the return of Henry and our heroes from Neverland. But unbeknownst to them, a plan is secretly being put into place by a well-hidden Pan that will shake up the very lives of the townspeople. I kinda don't see how emma could jump straight to that conclusion after they run out from Granny's, bit forced for the plot, but it was alright.
I agree with you there, delfunkster. If I'd been writing the scene, I'd have had Hook make his pass at Tink on the street in front of Granny's. That way Emma could have come upon them looking "together", and her question would have been more appropriate to the situation at hand.
well....when I like a guy and I see him with another woman I always assume the worst because I'm jealous...maybe emma is the same way ;)

"Wait... were you two...?" I wonder why in the middle of a 'critical' situation she would waste her time to ask a question of such a 'not relevant' matter to her... Stop denying your feelings Emma!!
Yep, that says it all. There was nothing in the way Hook or Tinkerbell were acting toward each other that screamed "the two of us were..." It seems Emma doesn't like the thought of her man making passes at other women/fairies!

The scene with Hook at Granny's taking to Neal may be one of my favourite Hook scenes to date. The look before hand speaks volumes. His knowing he may loose her and end up alone but still attempting to put her and Henry's needs above his own...he is a man of honour dammit. If only others *cough SNOW!* could see him for who is. The man who would do anything for Emma Swan. True Love baby. Trueeee loooovee
Captain swan is my otp but I'm really glad he is stepping away. Gives her time to miss him and to feel jealous : )
#7 Emma bringing Hook up in her conversation with Charming is HUGE! That's about as close as she's ever come to admitting to having feelings for Hook!
#8 I'm feeling more and more hopeful for Captain Swan's chances by the moment. Notice how throughout this whole love triangle thing, the writers focus on Emma's and Hook's feelings and reactions. We rarely see any of that from Neal. We didn't even get his reaction to Emma standing him up at the diner! The audience is clearly supposed to/sympathize with Hook. It would be beyond cruel (and stupid, really), for the writers to put us in that position and then swoop in with an Emma/Neal relationship in the end!

Ok, I have about a million comments on this clip alone...but I will try to reign myself in. :-) #1 I was REALLY disappointed that no one seemed to give Hook any credit there on the docks when they got back. He played a HUGE roll in getting Henry back at a fair amount of risk to himself. Yes, I was glad they acknowledged Regina, but give Hook his due as well! #2 That look Hook gave Emma and Henry at the diner just before Neal sat down! It is obvious that he is completely and totally in love with her. #3 Speaking of the conversation at the diner, Hook backing off for Henry's sake..that made my heart melt! He's putting Emma AND Henry first, even if it results in him losing his shot for happiness.
Yep! I also missed the credit to Hook at the docks! Fingers crossed Emma will give 'proper' credit to him later... ;)
#4 Hook knows Emma so incredibly well. He knows exactly what Emma needs and exactly how she thinks. He knows when to pursue and when to give her a little time. He knows exactly what Neal's leaving Emma did to her, what a huge scar it left, and he knows it will be a (possibly) insurmountable hurtle for her to overcome when it comes to rekindling a relationship with Neal. "I'm in it for the long haul." YES! That is EXACTLY what Emma is looking for, someone who will put her first, fight for her, be who and what she needs for years into the future. He realizes it will take time..and him proving himself and his love over and over and over again for her to truly trust him. He even realizes he needs to make her a little jealous to get her to realize her feelings for him.
#5 Neal immediately seeming to believe his road is clear as soon as the "devilishly handsome pirate (couldn't have come up with a better description myself, Hook!) bows out proves that he has no clue what Emma wants or needs. Him immediately running to her and asking her out made him look a little pathetic, to tell the truth.
i totally agree that it was honestly kind of inappropriate of neal to just jump in and be all "hey, lets pick up where we left off... (ten years ago...)" too much has happened and she hasn't had time to process any of it. it was pretty ballsy for him to put an ultimatum on it too- the whole i'll leave you alone if you decide not to come to lunch the day after we get back thing. hook is far more in tune with what's going on. i mentioned on one of the last hook and emma in neverland clips that i was sad hook wasn't getting much screen time but in the long run i think him taking a step back and allowing emma to focus solely on henry will put him more in her favor. this whole episode makes me even more strongly agree.

Also, the most satisfying love stories are the ones that develop slowly and only after overcoming several obstacles. I think Hook's and Emma's relationship when it finally "officially" begins (notice I said "when" not "if". Hopefully I'm not overly optimistic!), will be epic.

#10 I found Hook coming on to Tinkerbell rather exasperating and eye-roll worthy, however, I get it. He's trying (and succeeding) to make Emma jealous, and I'm fairly certain he knows full well that Tinkerbell will turn him down. Besides...the whole lady-killer persona. It's kind of a mask Hook likes to wear to hide his true feelings and to mask his hurt. He knows Emma, and he's got to know he has a definite shot with her, but by stepping back and clearing the field for Neal, he risks loosing her for good.
#11 One last thing...this is it, I promise! :-) Hook is a man who loves deeply, passionately and, well, for the long haul. He spent 300 years mourning and trying to avenge the last woman he loved. This is exactly the kind of man Emma needs and deserves. A good man, a man of honor, a man who will love his lady in the most complete, selfless way imaginable!

A pirate with honor. I wish that everyone could see that Hook has honor. He's proven that even though he's a pirate he still believes in good form. He proved it in Neverland when he told them about Neal and he's proving it again by stepping aside for Henry's sake. I understand why Snowing keeps pushing Emma towards Neal. She admitted to her parents that she still loves him and to their knowledge Emma's kissed Hook but according to her it didn't mean anything. She hasn't revealed a genuine interest in Hook because she hasn't admitted to herself yet. Snowing continues to push Emma towards Neal because she told them she still loves him.
I don't think Hook was deliberately trying to make Emma jealous. When he told Neal he was backing off he meant it because he believes in good form. Plus he told Emma when he won her heart it won't be because of any trickery. Using Tinkerbell to make Emma jealous is a trick. I think Hook was trying to forget about Emma by using Tinkerbell. Hook's heart belongs to Emma but he agreed to step aside. He risked everything by giving Neal a chance

The only thing that upsets me is Charming and Snow- they still don't see the good in Hook. Charming would be dead but hey I guess the guy that saved him isn't good enough for Emma. Ungrateful people.
poor Hook. He makes a pass at Tinkerbell here (probably just to make her jealous), but we all saw how he turned down that bar wench in the "jolly roger" episode. He'll only have eyes for Emma now :) even when he thought he'd never see her again.
OK I have been watching the spoiler for the next episode and it looks like CAPTAINSWAN has quite the moment, Can't wait..................... I am totally obsessed- don't know how I'm surviving during the break.

At first I though it was emma screaming and I I fangirled at hooks expression and the way he ran out and then I saw it was blue and I was like oh
It seemed like Emma might have given Hook the stink eye at about 2:40. She wants him so bad!!!! Perhaps because he is devilishly handsome.
#6 Good grief Snow and Charming! You are the ultimate example of true love, why is it that you're TERRIBLE in detecting its presence (or absence) in your daughter's life! They start with the premise that Neal is Emma's true love and go from there. She's reluctant to date him or open that door to romance again? They think it can only be because she is afraid of getting hurt again, or consumed with being the savior, or doesn't believe she deserves to be happy, or whatever else they can come up with! They don't even acknowledge the possibility that Neal ISN'T Emma's true love! I personally don't believe they ARE true loves. Neal and Emma's relationship never felt like true and lasting love to me. It felt like a teenage romance. Those canebe very powerful, but often people move on from them. Yes she loves him and probably always will. He was her first love. He gave her Henry. And..well, they never really had closure. They didn't "break up," she never really know what happened or why it happened until she met him again ten years later. Yeah, she needs that resolution, but I think that is all that's between them anymore.
At this point to...Snow and David only know one type of love. There is many layers to love. Emma love for Neal at this point in time of her life is more of a friendship love. She had her closure and of course a part of her will love him bcoz he was her first and he gave her Henry but that’s how far that love goes

I liked the full scene of Emma and David together, when he pushes her to go talk to Nealfire. I like all of their scenes, actually. They somehow pull off the father-daughter chemistry really well, they act a lot like my dad and I do now that I'm an adult!

Oh I'm sure he'll hold out for a lot longer. After all, he held on to his feelings for Milah for over 300 years after her death!
true. he's proven himself and he really does just use this ladies man persona to protect himself. since i'm fairly certain he'll wait for emma, and i'm fairly certain he'll stay true to his heart thru anything she or others throw his way, I feel like their relationship can only end one of two ways- he gets the girl :) (yay!) or they kill him off. (which would just about make me stop watching.) he's just too strong of a character to pine silently in the background forever or simply leave storybrooke.
I hate that he lied to Emma like that because I think she was starting to have feelings for him. Ugh Hook. And it sounded like Neal said "I thought they didn't sell rumagarnies" even though its not a word but that is what it sounded like...lol

I loved how Tinkerbelle rejected Hook's offer!not just because I know he's just distracting himself so he can get over Emma!but seriously Hook?using a fairy as distraction?so many creatures in Tinkerbelle's situation(not only fairies)would've fell for Hook's attractiveness and the story would've ended in a broken heart or...(Tinkerbelle from animated movies and Ariel can answer that if you ask me!)but Tinkerbelle not only had something called self-respect but also immune to this kind of nasty,manipulative and unhealthy charms!
