What's the lowest megapixel count you'd be willing to shoot with?

      14 mpix probably

@@mikey7326 between my fuji x100 (OG) and the a7s3 I'd have to say that 12mp does the trick

My all-time favorite camera was my first real-deal DSLR, back in 2000.
The Kodak DCS-520 was built around the body of a Canon 1-n using cutting-edge technology from Kodak, Canon & Nikon.
This resulted in what many believed to be the grandfather of all professional DSLRs and made the way for full frame cameras soon after with the Canon 1Ds, although Nikon didn't manufacture one until later 2005.
I remember the quality of that old Kodak/Canon Hybrid, 2MP tiffs that once you opened edited in Kodak raw viewer, and saved them, they then expanded to 5 MB.
The camera pixel dimensions was only 1728 x 1152 which would now probably be considered unusable on a phone today.
Still, that camera rocked, it was the closest (IMO) digital camera that got to look like film, I would blow the pictures up to a usable A-0 (minus the colour of course,) and they still looked good in print.
No other camera has come close to that look and I should know as I have been chasing it ever since.
I have kept it on my shelf (shrine) as a reminder of a true giant who led the way taking the first real steps in DSLR photographic history.
So, for me personally, 12 MB files is a good useable size especially partnered with quality glass.
Thank you for this very interesting analogy of 'Small is the new big!'
btw wasn't the new Hollywood blockbuster 'The Creator shot using these (these) cameras?
This means that these little (£4000) things are taking on the Arri monsters (£75,000) and putting up a remarkable fight in the process.
    Great work.

There seems to be some stabilisation distortion as you walk, I'm wondering if the camera is doing that with stabiliser on or did you do this post production? check the background and the face after 1:00 marker

I notice it too. Very jarring.

This goes to show that its not the camera that is the most important factor, its who is taking the picture or video and how creative they are. Just seeing the first few images you can tell that you are very creative !

I did a photography video with the FX3 too and it blew me away - pretty good for 12MP.

It’s because of the type of shutter I believe and I wouldn’t go a over 200 125 is the sweet spot

You always have to consider the sensor size as well when talking MP count. A phone camera that's 12mp versus the full frame FX3 is an apples to dinosaurs comparison. Lol
