I live and breathe Carter BBDs. Now I'm experimenting with a Stromberg WW3 on my 273 while i source a vintage Carter 4bbl with the small throttle plates to go onto a stock 273 4bbl intake that i picked years ago.
Right on that first intro clip @ .02 seconds, That little vent to me shafts thing, Not the one where the airintake shaft goes but the other one next to the float shaft, Gas is bubbling from that hole.. Is that supposed to do that?

Cool story 😎 I bought one non running car and all it needed was a carb rebuild and it was happy.

This one ran pretty good. The only thing needed to be replaced was battery cables and fuel filter. 😊
Gotta love how stuff got parked or sold and it just needed something easy fixed

I am going to eventually get a used Carter 625 AFB. It has the small primaries for better cruising mileage. I have to find a cheap intake first.

Could be some of the carb cleaner I sprayed it with.
@NathansMoparGarage I was talking about mine. I Rebuilt it, now gas is coming from that top hole 🤣
Is the float set correctly? If the float is not right or the needle and seat are leaking it could be overfilling the float bowl.

Stupid question here; are both jets supposed to work at the same time? For a 2 bbl? Or is one a idle jet and the other a main jet.
On this carb the jets work at the same time.
