My first year in USA was a compleat shock but now i know.
I saw old in the nursing homes and i was like why.
Everybody is busy looking for money that is never enough to cater for him or his family leave alone the parents.
As we all welcome consumer altitude in kenya lets remember that things are not gonna be the same anymore.
We used to plant our own food now we have converted all the farms into beautiful modern residentials.
Now welcome to your nearest supermarket and buy everything you need including onions.
After that save enough and help your families as much as you wish.
After that lets import everything including toothpicks from china because we can nolonger know how to make them from bamboo sticks.
Lets import everything and buy with credit cards when we cant afford to pay for them.
And this world will always be a beautiful place to live.

These parents have lots of children and grandchildren yet they barely see them. Today, people who are siring one or two children will have more problems in their old age. I think this problem can be solved by establishing a massive welfare program for the elderly. We should provide meeting points for them, free transport services, food and blankets. I believe such a service will also create employment for many young Kenyans. In reality, making money is the primary objective for today's society leaving other important non profitable services out of the question.
System is not fair for Africans....capitalism has deepen its roots.. Family are scattered.... Back to roots for our families
Abandoning your parents with excuse of being busy looking for money is very wrong.... visit them regularly, myself I do so...your parents them seeing you is enough even if u don't give them money....
