I love love love Hugo! First tried it in Germany. Love it wayyyy more than aperol spritz. In Germany they actually sell cheap bottles of “wine” called Hugo (2-5€). I like to add extra elderflower syrup to the wine but most restaurants I've been to in German don't. Some do some don't. I've seen some places use procesco but mostly it's Hugo that they use.
I had this in Italy and i fell in love with it. Just tried to make it today and for some reason it had a bitter after taste. Why would that be? I used the same recipe.
I’ve made a St. Germaine champagne cocktail loads of times (particularly nice with pink champagne) but I’ve never thought to treat it like a spritz, I’ll have to try it!
@@BarprintsYou’re better off with Prosecco rose but make sure it’s an brut or brut nature. You will be adding some much sugary liquors and syrups and you don’t want extra sugar from the wine.
Spritz is selected as the welcome drink for my guests on this Saturday Evening... Only thing would be missing is that smile 😝😄 they don't know,, I do...

Love a good pun - earned a pinned comment! =)
We put mint, apple and lime slices to make Hugo in the area I live in Italy. I live near Prosecco road. :) Hugo's my favorite summer drink. Yum!!
The mint addition sounds amazing! Will have to try that sometime!
Looks like a very refreshing summer (hot weather) patio or brunch cocktail.

Each of us released a spritz today? we're on the level!
Great minds think alike! >_

This looks amazing, I love elderflower. There is elderflower sparkling water that could be used. Can't wait to make this.
That sounds like a great sub! Summer's looking better already!
First learned of this when I first visited Germany! Very refreshing cocktail!
Love a Hugo! Super refreshing 👌🏽
What do you think about adding lychees or lychee syrup for a little something different?

I used tonic water which was giving it the sour flavor. I changed to club soda and problem solved!

That sounds amazing, especially with the pink champagne! Should make for a great guest experience!
@@Barprints this is just in my home bar, but I do indeed serve it to houseguests!
@@shayelea A guest is a guest no matter where you serve them. Awesome drink no matter what! 😜

Great video
Hi, Can I use elderflower syrup instead St Germain?
That'd work well for sure!
Such a simple and easy spritz to make :D
Steve, can i use elderflower syrup instead of liquer?
I wonder why you add procesco and soda at the same time?
Hi Steve
I am looking for the location of cocktail kit.
If you wouldn't mind, could you let me know the address
We are based in Adelaide, Australia. We aren’t open 9-5pm though - only by appointment as we’re mainly an online business.. are you in Adelaide?
Trento!
Great video, but why paper straws and not plastic ?
It's an environmental thing.
No sugar?
St. Germaine is very sweet, you don’t need extra sugar!
The visual appearance looks a bit like a mojito
One Night in Miami
Like a mojito's cousin from out of town😋
why not plastic????????????????????
It’s bad for the environment.
@@StevetheBartender_ Oh yeah u right m8
Way too much ice ! A nicer version is to use Lime and not lemon.

You lost me at paper straw
Nobody likes paper straws
The whole “plastic straw” controversy was started by a 9 year old writing a report for school. No science behind it. Great Spritz though!
Plastic = bad.
