It is the fitrah (natural inclination/sound human nature) which is instilled in our souls and hearts, that drives us to believe in Allah and long to know Him, may He be glorified.
“And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loins his offspring) and made them testify concerning themselves (saying): ‘Am I not your Lord?’
      They said: ‘Yes’”
      [al-A‘raaf 7:172].

Jazaak Allaahu khayran brother for mentioning intimacy as we only here about men's rights and do not here enough about women's rights. I know too many women starving for intimacy from their husband's. May Allaah guide these men because they are not protecting their wives from adultery.

When we think of a religious person who Allāh loves, we tend to think of a man who has a beard, wears an 'imama and a juba, always lives in the mosque, constantly prays, fasts & recites the Qur'an.
BUT YOU KNOW WHO WE TEND TO FORGET THAT ALLĀH LOVES?
The mother who manages to get up for Fajr despite sleeping less than an hour because her baby was up all night.
The young person who is fighting depression but still musters the strength to get through the day because of a belief that he has in Allāh.
The woman who has to speed through her prayer because her little one is crying.
The man who lays down the mat and prostrates whilst at work.
The lady who wears the hijab correctly in public despite the pressures.
The student who lowers his gaze in an environment in college and university because he is conscious of Allāh.
The individual who wants to fast throughout the month but his medical situation doesn't allow it.
The one who leaves the house in the morning to earn halal so he can feed the family and look after the kids.
The person who leaves what he used to do because it was wrong and returns to Allāh in remorse such that they often feel down.
The one who can barely recite a page of the Qur'an and doesn't have a great voice but still sits there and tries.
The people who didn't know anything about religion until later on in life but still have the power to humble themselves and seek knowledge.
Piety has many forms & comes in different shapes
If we are obeying Allāh in whichever way we can, then be pleased and know that Allāh loves us. Something small for one man is like climbing a steep mountain for another, and Allāh knows that. He won't let the tears, the tiredness, the effort, the good intentions and the striving go to waste.
May Allah Almighty bless us all with His love.

The Great Merits of Reciting the Qur’an with Contemplation: ibn al-Qayyim
The great scholar ibn al-Qayyim al Jawzi (رحمه الله) once wrote:
If people only knew the great value of reciting the Qur’an with reflection, then they would devote themselves to it above anything else.
For when one recites with contemplation, when he comes across an ayah which contains something needed to rectify his heart, he would repeat that ayah, perhaps as many as one hundred times or even for the entire night! For reciting a single ayah with contemplation and understanding is better, more beneficial for one’s heart, and more likely to bring about an increase in eemaan and tasting the sweetness of the Qur’an than reciting the entire Qur’an without reflection or understanding.
This used to be the practice of the Salaf, that one of them might repeat a single ayah until the morning came. It has also been authentically attributed to the Prophet that he stood in the night prayer until the morning came repeating a single ayah, which was:
If You punish them, then they are Your slaves. And if You forgive them, then You are the Mighty, the Wise. [5:118]
For reciting the Qur’an with contemplation is the very basis of the heart’s rectification.
In this same vein, ibn Mas’ood (May Allah be pleased with him) said,
“Do not recite the Qur’an rapidly without pause like the recitation of poetry or while babbling it quickly out of hastiness. (Rather) stop when you come to one of its amazements, and let it move your heart, and do not be bothered if you do not reach the end of the surah.”
Aby Ayyub relayed that Abu Jamarah said, “I said to ibn ‘Abbaas, (May Allah be pleased with them) ‘I am very quick in my reading, I read the entire Qur’an in three days.’
He said to me, ‘For me to read a single surah
and to contemplate it and recite it at a slow measured pace is more dear to me than to recite the Qur’an as you do.'”
And there are two types of contemplating the Qur’an.
    1) Contemplating its contents in order to understand the meanings which your Lord intended, and
    2) contemplating those meanings which invite the reader to reflect and ponder them.
The first is contemplating over what the Qur’an shows and indicates, while the second is oriented towards what that person needs. The first is contemplating the ayah itself, while the second is contemplating the effects of the ayah on the person.
Along these lines, Allah has revealed the Qur’an for it to be contemplated, pondered over and acted upon, not for it to be merely recited while the people turn away from its meanings.
Al-Hasan al-Basri (رحمه الله) said, “The Qur’an was revealed to be acted upon, but these people treat reciting it as the action it requires.”
    [Miftah Dar al-Sa’aadah 1/187]
