So glad to see this posted! I was there, was 15 years old. Up against the boards right in front of Robert. The crush of the crowd was rough, my bird's nest hairdo was flat by the end of the show! The door man let us peek in during sound check when they were playing Shake Dog Shake. Will never forget this show.
that is SO awesome. I wish with all my heart I was alive in the 80s so i could experience that. nonetheless, i got to see them last June, way up at the very, very top of the stadium!! i was about your age when you saw them and i will never forget it either.
I was there! It was October 27th. I had the brilliant idea of showing up in my Halloween costume-as Cyndi Lauper. Security saw me in line, came and pulled me out (along with my 3 friends) and ushered us inside. Smoking indoors was still a thing back then and I though my hair was going to catch on fire. My sister fainted near the front of the stage and got lifted away backstage. Fun times!

Andy was kicked out of Cure after touring Japan for alcohol and other weird behavior, Vince of The Psychodelic Furs was quickly asked to play and played out of 13 shows, then Boris was persuaded to play Cure in all he was pulled out of the Thompson Twins
@@eboethrasher yeah a more detailed account of what happened is in the autobiography 10 imaginary years. But I don't think it reflects badly on Andy Anderson there was a lot of drugs going on in the band during that era and I think just pressures from the tour got to him he was a great person. And Robert Smith always talk highly of him after he left. He took the cure to another level during that short stint he was in the group! He was a phenomenal drummer definitely one of the best the band ever had

Yeah I was there too great Halloween show. Susie and the banshees played after them. Ears were ringing for days!

Why was Andy Anderson not in the North American dates?
He was fired on Oct 17th 1984 in Japan after flipping out and destroying a hotel room
