  • In this week’s episode, I’m back metal detecting an uncharted 1700s site with the Minelab Manticore, and as you can imagine, the finds KEEP piling up! Once again, my unwillingness to go home without a coin led me to stay well past dark, but I got the job done! Balls, buttons, and coinage… oh my! Enjoy!

      ohh man.. I would've gotten the Minelab pinpointer through you. Just received the minelab 40. Definitely better than the 35. but it looks like I can easily cover the speaker which really mutes the tone.

    • @StefDigs
      @StefDigs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Shedding I’m glad you got one, regardless! I have always used my pinpointers on vibrate mode so I hadn’t noticed that. The speaker holes are larger than they are on the 35 though, so some people have found the 40 is louder.

    • @Shedding
      @Shedding 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@StefDigs yeah.. the 40 is about 30% louder I would say. It is also more sensitive. I really do hope that this one lasts me longer than my old 35. Thank you for all your videos. They are so awesome. I wish I was in an area with older stuff like you, but I live in Southern California. The oldest coin I've found is from 1932. Ohh well.

      Sure! It takes a little bit to get used to how the shaft is situated on the Manticore versus the Equinox. On the Equinox, the end of the shaft was directly in the center of the coil. On the Manticore, the center of the coil is situated directly in front of where the shaft ends on the coil. I recently just discovered on the Legend running Beach mode with the special filters for black sand in other words it’s made to cut through the hardest Black sand I went on a long drive 4 ,5 hour it’s a great permission it a 1790 church with a ton of Native American stuff in the field it’s not real large 100 acres and 2 foot ball field s of grass about as wide as a football field huge parking lot in which I can guarantee you it covered around hundred coins and civil war relics confederate soldiers were here found a pistol and a $200 dollar inf button and a very rare saddle shield it was a geographic engineer corpse that made it so valuable, and made out of brass shape and CSI written on it and old very old English. cursive writing. But this permission is going the hardest I’ve ever been through and I’ve been to a lot of places it’s just a blanket of iron. It’s just everywhere. There’s also a cemetery there too. I try not to go too close 1520 feet away but I’m sure there’s a lot of good stuff right next to the cemetery also, I did very well I ran the beach I end up six head pennies got a really nice beautiful red 1866 condition and I got a old barber 1900 sitting right everything was right right by these two big trees right on the trees in the front got a lot of American stuff like that but yeah, it was great and running the beach mode and included area. I got a Roosevelt within minutes, so yeah, be careful

      Nice, glad you’re enjoying your machine! Manticore is my go-to, as are Minelab detectors in general, of course. 😉 In my opinion, the Manticore is the best machine on the market right now, although I have heard the D2 is a great high-end machine as well. Sounds like you’ve got a really hot site there - so much of the success of detecting has 80% to do with location and 20% to do with your machine! Keep running what’s comfortable for you and that site will stay lit up for a while! 😊

      @@StefDigs if you really like Manticore then you would like the Legend the same only difference is maybe a inch in depth but Nokia is coming out with a super deep boast mode she be any time now and once that comes out I think the legend will be top dog don’t forget I found almost 200 old coins with it last year and I am already at 8 silver coins now and 6 IHP lol

      @@ChrissyEis that’s awesome, I’m happy for you! I am sponsored by Minelab however so I won’t be using a Legend, but I’m genuinely thrilled it’s working out well for you! Keep crushing it out there! 😊
