This is the first vocalist I've heard who I genuinely think could 1000% fill Chester's shoes and could easily stand on par with him in terms of being one of the greatest vocalists of all time. THIS is the person they need to truly front the band.
I am shaken how amazing Bonnie was in matching Chester's verses. It's probably one of the closest vocal inspirations that I have heard, maybe ever. Mike didn't skip a beat and it felt like the classic LP, but I am still so impressed with Bonnie. There are a few key moments where Bonnies voice sounds so much like Chester's especially if you have heard his live performances and his voice is already a little strained and tired. There are just some parts that gave me goosebumps. Thanks so much for this Mike and the rest of the team. This felt so good.

The drummer is from an Australia band called Polaris. They have released full length albums and are getting bigger in the US with metal fans. They are one of my top 3 bands of all time and cant suggest them enough. Lyrically they are a lot like LP but heavier.
I cannot emphasize this enough, if you enjoyed this CHECK OUT THEIR BANDS!! Stand Atlantic (Bonnie) and Between You and Me (James) make some incredible pop punk, and Polaris (Daniel) just released the best metalcore album of the year last month. I've been lucky enough to see two of them live and the next time stat comes to the PNW I will be there in the pit as well. Seeing them together in this session was unreal. Keep it going Mike, you're still killing it decades later.
Yup, all fantastic stuff. Polaris's new album might be AOTY, Stand Atlantic always make good shit, and BYAM is one of my most underrated artists, seeing them live with Knuckle Puck and Real Friends was such a great show.
I still think Obsidian is the best Metalcore record of the last year, but there’s no doubt Polaris released what we will be one of my favorite Metalcore albums for sure! Those guys are all so talented, and for this session everyone killed it! 🙌🏼

Actually, the harmonization between Mike and Chester is what really made their choruses stand out so much. Also, he has done lead on some demos as far as back as the Pre-Hybrid Theory days. So Far Away from the 20th Anniversary Edition of Hybrid Theory dates back to 1998 and Mike's singing is insane on it. So yeah, his singing may not have really escalated until Living Things, but it has definitely always been there. The first time I went back and listened to Hybrid Theory after hearing Mike's singing voice on No Roads Left for the first time, it blew me away just how much his singing is audible on those earlier albums. Much of what I had thought was Chester's voice all this time was actually Mike.

It would not only breathe new life into the band but also be the best way to honour Chester without people comparing a male singer to him all the time.

Hearing your voice unproduced makes me feel so much better about my recorded vocals. It's great, but produced you clean it up so much from this. Also, awesome breath work and diaphragm control on the held note so you didn't go flat.
