I was also boofing ket in the bathroom and drowning my sorrows in alcohol daily for the last 5 years 😹 145 days sober today and I just want to say it started out as a 75 hard inspired by Tana and I made the decision to keep it going because I have worked so hard to become this version of myself and I wouldn’t trade it for a thing. I in the middle of a relapse. Wow I’m just now admitting this….yeah I’m not as bad as I was but I’m so scared to go throw the withdrawals again. I just lost my mom and my man of 10yrs betrayed me. Ima do my best to get my shit together
So my daughter is an addict. She is 42 and we just celebrated her 1 yrs cake at her cocaine anonymous meeting and her narcotics anonymous meeting on March 5th 2024. Addiction is an allergy of the body and obsession of the mind. The fellowships she is so involved in are spiritual in nature. Having faith in something bigger than urself. It's either a higher power or the energy of the rooms or mother nature. We are so proud of her and so proud of anyone who wants to have a better life. She has a sponsor, she has sponsees, she does service at all her home groups, she has done the 12 steps and she is so dedicated. We as her parents have seen such a huge difference. We have our daughter back. Our grand daughter has her mother back and our son has his sister back. ❤
Love how tana gave herself cred for making the best out of the hand she was dealt. She really did and it is admirable and inspiring.

I’ve followed Trevi forever since literally the O2L days but this was the first time I have watched this podcast. I just wanna say I am so blown away at her intelligence and how well spoken she is. Hearing her talk about her view on the world and sobriety was really inspiring and eye opening for me. I am so happy to see her thriving and I Can’t wait to watch more episodes!

I havet been through alcoholism or addiction but my dad has battled alcoholism on and off for so damn long. My sister and I recently went to his 1 year soberversery at his AA program last month. Im so proud of anyone who battles any addiction for just living everyday. I’m going to send him this podcast. Btw YUUSSSSSSS ITS TANAAAA!!!

KATE- baby if u see this, i don’t know who in your life told you that you were big or too tall, you are literallyyyy so perfect. body is snatched as fuck and the tall energy is amazing and SO powerful. i hope u know how confused i was when i heard u say that hahahaha. on the other hand, trevi looks sooooo good as well!! love yall so much.
I appreciate you guys opening up about how abusing substances (at any age but especially a young age where life and your brain chemistry is so much more transformative) affected you guys. I’m still on my journey but I relate so much when Trevi and Tana spoke about how it feels like the world is just going around you and you’re stuck in your own little bubble. It’s like you’re drowning and fighting through the misery every day and watching everyone and everything around you keep moving and it feels so hopeless. I feel that way a lot right now, I’m going through one of the absolute hardest times of my life, like I’m actually fighting to not become homeless as a single mom here soon and watching the world just keep going around me is exhausting.
Wow you perfectly summed up how I’ve felt about my own struggles with addiction. It can feel so incredibly isolating! Which is why this podcast is so important and the comment section is so very validating. You’re not alone ❤️ I hope things work out for you, and always remember that it’s so possible to find peace without substances even if it seems hopeless sometimes.

i am 17 and have been to rehabs and mental hospitals. i have done so much i regret bc of my addiction but i still struggle with it. i truly love to hear talk about addiction. truly helps me sm bc i have no adult in my life to help and motivate me.
