    This interview is ridiculous! This guy had in your studio three monsters of music and in fact he didn´t realized that! OMG
    This is like having Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson in your studio and ask them "what´s your name?!"! Incredible

    I have never seen a radio host less prepared and more uninformed for an interview, especially with legendary musicians and the existence of the INTERNET!

      Oh you mean Billy Sheehan didn't play with Joe Satriani?!? LOL... he didn't even know about Mr Big, DLR, Vai let alone Talas.

    Not sure if ya guys know this, but Artie is a comedian, he doesn't have the same job as Eddie Trunk. Gotta give him credit for having some good stuff on here. Winery Dogs and Jolly!

    Are you kidding me? This is a one of a kind band! Virtuosity in its best form and yet the interviewer speaks like he doesn't know any thing about these three great musicians! "Bad interview great band" certainly for sure :(

    Maybe musicians know these guys, but the majority of the world really doesn't. Ironically, I just met Mike Portnoy this weekend and as for the handful of people I've told about it, I've had to subsequently explain who he is. Artie has 10 guests a day on that show to know all about. Even still, he typically knows quite a bit about everything - at least enough to ask the right questions. Jon Ritchie knows a lot, too. I'd love to see what you critical people would do with a radio show.

    By the way, this is a sports show that happens to have musical guests. We should only be so lucky. Most people don't give a shit about music like this...So, keep being negative, jerk-offs, and we won't have anything like this enjoy.

  • @bledboost
    @bledboost 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    What's with all the Artie bashing? Clearly a lot of traffic from non-fans of the show. In Artie's defense, he's equally as talented in comedy as these guys are in music. And believe me if Artie knew anything about these guys he'd ask Mike what's it like to go from a 100 piece drum kit to a 3 piece?

    This show is weird. Artie wants a talk show but clearly doesn't read notes or does research. No effort...and he asks for free tickets on air? How unprofessional. This is why he was a sideman for howard. He can't lead a conversation just chimes in. Than he talks about things have nothing to do with the band or the members? Common Artie...-_-

  • @drumavidcheckupz4792
    @drumavidcheckupz4792 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    What I really want to know is, is this common in the music industry. Because it's ridiculous.
    I'm just wondering how this will look from the perspective of a listener who wants to know who the Winery Dogs are.

  • @DaryllHurst
    @DaryllHurst 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You have Mike Portnoy, one of the biggest talkers in music. Billy Sheehan is one of the most charismatic guys in an interview. I don't think Artie put in the effort.

  • @theaterdreamer
    @theaterdreamer 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Jesus Christ, this is awful. Artie looks like Jabba the Hut. I'm surprised they could find a chair big enough, and strong enough, to support that gigantic ass of his.
    Winery Dogs are amazing. I've been a long time fan of all three of these guys. I first heard Billy back when he was with David Lee Roth (that was an amazing lineup. Steve Vai first, then Jason Becker right before he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). Richie I listened to as a solo artist back when I was first learning to play the guitar. I spent an entire summer learning his Fever Dream album (well, trying to learn). Back then, Shrapnel Records was the big label for new shredders. Mike Varney had a whole slew of these virtuosos-Richie, Blues Saraceno, Marty Friedman and Becker in a band called Cacophony, Tony McAlpine. I think Racer X, Paul Gilbert's band pre Mr. Big, was on there, too. It was great back then. I listened to all of them, and Satriani, Van Halen, Vai, Malmsteen, Reb Beach. And of course, Mikey was one of the founders of Dream Theater, who is my all-time favorite progressive band.
    Yet, Artie is clueless. Knows nothing about these guys. These three men deserved better. They got exposure, but Artie took a big dump on them by being completely unprofessional. Did Stern dump him?

  • @fredp322
    @fredp322 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Really bothers me to see great musicians , whether it is intentional or not, disrespected by unprepared interviewers. For that matter, Eddie Trunk deserves better, as well.

  • @Tigelinus

    "What's your first name"?
    "Mike"
    "Oh yeah"
    "Someone told me you got an amazing background, Billy, you played with Joe Satriani"
    "A guy with a laptop selling 80,00 tickets in Germany"
    Who the hell is this cartoon character show host? Laughable.

    Yeah, Artie and his sidekicks were totally clueless.
    Were you the original guitarist with poison?
    Billy, you played with Joe Satriani?
    Billy and Richie played in Poison at the same time?
    Clueless....but then again, this is Artie Lange, do we expect him to be boned up on everything?

    Really? Maybe this is just a cheap attempt at getting some TH-cam controversy to increase views (not that it's working) because it would be a real insult to have players of this caliber on your show and not even know their names, much less who they've played with. Sad if true.
