I have both a 520 Lxi and a 522 xi - I put LED bulbs up front and they make a big difference in the light given off by the front headlights. Thanks for posting the video - I have a single stage I place on my 522 xi and I put a blade on the front of the 520 Lxi. All ready for old man Winter! I also just put a Berco snow cab on the 522 xi with the snow blower - no more snow back in my face! Great option to put on your tractor - was only $300. I posted an install video "Berco Cab on Toro Wheel Horse".

Nice. I had a cab for it but sold it because I didn't want to store it. How does the 520lxi handle the blade.

@@chuck1940 The 520 Lxi does not even know it is out there in front - I utilize it up to about 4" of snow - if over that I go to the 522 xi with the snow blower. The weight of these tractors makes them so incredibly useful and unlike the cheap units made of tin that weigh close to 300lb. Our tractor weighs 1023lb (520 Lxi on tractordata.com). The weight allows the horse power to transfer to the ground for work. I grew up on a large farm and learned this lesson about tractors long ago.

Had my 79366 two stage snowblower four years and never put it on. Toro made it extremely heavy and hard to move around. I bought a 79365 single stage snowblower last December plus I have two Berco 40” snowblower attachments that I have only $215 total into them. I’d still consider a trade for my 79366.
I started and moderate the Toro 5xi series Facebook page.

Chuck, good video, I just got a 2 stage so this will help while I install it. BUT, I would like to see more on those lights, how you made those, maybe dimensions or such. I know the headlights will be useless, thanks Glenn

GLENN B. nice the 44 inch 2 stage snowblower works amazingly well. I just ran out to the garage and measured the light brackets. I used the bolts that hold on the mid attach-a-matic. so I wouldn't have to drill any new holes. I came out 7 inches and up 25 ish inches. lights are from northern tool I think they where like $70.00 at the time. Works well thanks for watching glad the video was helpful.

Chuck, got mine assembled and on, your video made it easier than just going through the book. I have a question though, mine lifts so high, way more than any of my single stage snowthrower do. The one pulley on the right of the pulley block (by the tension clip) will touch the bottom trim piece, under where you pull out the grill for the battery. How can I readjust the lift height? Try another hole in the flag lift piece, more washers? I can't find that information anywhere. I don't want it lifting so high. It's is a beast though, can't wait to use it.
      thanks, Glenn

GLENN B. I am not sure of the hight adjustment. I know on mine I have 2 washers on the flag. I would think if you added more washers it would lift higher. Both of the snowblowers I have installed lifted up normal so I haven't had to figure out how to adjust the height not sure if it is even adjustable. The only thing I could think of off the top of my head is if the flag is possibly binding on that tube it slides into. If it doesn't slide in all of the way I would guess it would lift higher than it should. prolly not much help let me know if you figure it out as I am kinda curious why your having that issue.

Chuck, I bought the 1998 520LXI with the snowblower from you last year... I never got the metal thing that holds up the chute turning handle... I'd really like to get that as I got an ugly piece of wood drilled out to get me by for now ha ha! Let me know, thanks! Lenny
