Im a new collector, and there is something that I cant understand. What "barbie signature" means? Like does it mean that this doll does not belongs to any label as pink, silver gold or black? Im always wondering if these dolls belong to some of those labels. It leaves an ugly impression on me when I don't see any of the usual labels on the box. It seems to me as if the doll lost its value. I like how they used to do the dolls before. There was better presentation in the box and the face of the dolls looked so good, now they look like barbie for kids to play with them. Also the material look so cheap...it seems like they wanted to do this doll as fast as its possible. I dont know...this is a collectible doll, not one to play with. They could do her better. I hate the new face and make up they use now. Im dissapointed.
I agree 100% that barbie isnt what she used to be. But considering the quality of today, the 60th doll is quite good. Does she measure up to a 90s doll? No, even the playlines then were better. But I am happy to have this doll and I am very picky with todays dolls. As for signature and stuff, im not an expert, i collect for fun but from what I noticed between my label dolls versus the signatures is that the labels are all limited in production numbers, where as signature is not however its also higher quality than the play line . @@dollingthing5018 What is happening with the quality of today? I think that the quality should be much better because everything is supposed to improve over the years. Why they dont? And for example, why the ballet wishes series barbie doesnt belong anymore to the pink label? :( They messed it up everything. Im living in Spain and its very hard to collect old dolls, because its very expensive the shipping from usa, so if doll cost 30$ i have to pay 50$ more to have here. So what I can have as something cheap in Europe is the signature series. You are so lucky because you can have any doll you want. Sometimes I find offers in ebay or amazon so I can buy some old stuff, but may be one time i 2 months, so.. Dolls here are very expensive, i dont know why. Btw, I open them like you, because thats why we pay for! 🖤 Lets enjoy them.🌷🤩
@@FrreshBerry I live in Canada and our currency is very bad so we also have to pay alot so I know how you feel. I think the quality is bad because people just aren't buying toys like they used to. kids all play with electronics now. Plus back in the day, a barbie wud be played with for a very long time. But now with consumerism, if a doll breaks from bad quality, they just buy a new one.
