I really feel she shouldn't have made that comment. It makes her appear salty. If she played in the final as well as she did in the quarter and semis, she would have won the title. Her performance in that finals really frustrated me. That's when I began to accept she won't win another slam
@@kofipokuantwi-boateng5446and why is that? She should just roll over and let a SECOND white female get caught red handed repeatedly abusing performance enhancing substances, and just sit back and do nothing? Maria and Simona stole two GS finals from her, both of whom we now know to be liars who are utterly untrustworthy. Meanwhile the media including Chris Evert just defend Maria and Simona as if they are somehow VICTIMS. Lmfao! Also, Serena’s actual words are simply factual: 8 is a better number.
@@kofipokuantwi-boateng5446 it made her seem salty to you. If it were Serena who was banned for drugs you would feel very differently towards the other players who would without a doubt make worse comments. Serena cannot have an off day because everyone plays their best against her. Halep was on drugs. Serena has every right to make such a comment knowing that her opponent was being helped.
@chanjiewan6823 I believe you are new to this channel. I am the biggest Serena fan, so there was no malice in my comments. I am just stating facts. Halep tested positive for drugs years after this match was played. Serena was terrible in that finals. I don't think Halep played better than Angelique Kerber in the 2016 finals or Azarenka in the 2015 quarter finals. If Serena played anywhere near her best she would have won this match
Thought she was hitting her forehand pretty well in 2019 overall tbh. Definitely her best season after Olympia’s birth. Felt like the old Serena when she was on
Well it’s difficult when you don’t play someone of top 10 calibre the first six rounds. Suddenly you’ve got to adjust to a huge increase of quality the other end
The most painful slam of them all for me… knowing that she lost for the ROXADUSTAT Queeeen in the final 😒ughhh. Oh well, at least the World knows about it, that makes me feel waaaay better 😌
This slam brings me terrible memories. Serena's performance in the final was her worst performance in a slam finals, and the following day Federer lost in a heart breaking manner.
Whether Serena wins or losses her opponents knew they had to come equipped and ready for some real tennis....the best games are played with other opponents when Serena hits the court....thats my opinion
I still wonder what Serena actually did to overcome her mental block in slam finals. Did she just keep trying or did she quietly work with a sports psychologist? It makes me sad that the people around her seemingly didn’t do enough to help her get through her mental block for 24 and 25 😢
She didn't overcome it. That 2015 USO SF was the end of Serena mentally. The only that kept her going was beating Graf's number. Spent 2016 losing to everyone & then was pregnant for most of 2017. Returned in 2018 with a chopped up abdomen, so her serve was messed up for good & the rest was losing. Serena was done mentally & physically, so she stalled out at 23.
@got2bjosh I agree with you 100%. That loss to Vinci did so much damage to her mental strength. Between 2012-2015 Wimbledon. Serena only lost 2 finals in all competition. She was so lethal in semi finals and finals. Even though Kerber played very well in 2016 Australia open finals, Serena Before the Loss to Vinci would have found a way to win that match.
@@kofipokuantwi-boateng5446 Precisely. In 2016, Serena could’ve won those three GS finals, but she was still suffering the hangover effects of the undue pressure she put on herself to go for a CGS. Shame, really.
She had pretty easy draws to reach those four finals. I think she faced just two top 10 seeds - Pliskova and Svitolina - hardly giants of the game. So when she had to face a good opponent in the final it was a tricky step up. The Andreescu loss was the only one that surprised me.
Am I the only one notice who Patrick tinkered with Serena’s serve a lil too much after she came back from birth. Her motion wasn’t slow and fluid as it used to be vs it was lot quicker and snappier after child birth
Ther serve clearly wasn't the problem as she got to 4 finals & 2 semis after giving birth. It was her nerves & forgetting how to show up in the big moments that was the problem.
Me too! Or at least an episode or segment in her new docuseries about it. Not sure we’ll get that for a long time though, especially whike Alexis Ohanian 🤡is in the picture because he was part of the problem
8 is a better number 😎
I was coming with that comment 😂😂

@@Ttjam1 she went through plenty high quality tho to get to those Finals
Serena just simply the best no matter the circumstances
Love your channel! Keep it going!
Man, she was really using that short-angle backhand so well this tournament!
Was striking the ball beautifully all tournament & there was a certain crispy sound coming off her racquet and then that dreadful final happened.

It was an awful weekend
Serena had some cakewalk Wimbledon draws in 2018 and 19, and still struggled to make the finals
I’m still sad that Serena lost in the final 😢
Im a Serena fan and i love how she admitted that she sucked and said "Halep played lights out" Also Patrick did Halep dirty.
I wonder what could have become of Serena Williams if she could have had a birth without complications ❤
8 is a better number, if you look at Haleps eyes you can tell. They should have picked it up sooner
Maybe without Roxadustat for Halep ! Serena would have won.
Do you have the Sasnovich match? I can't find it anywhere.
It's like she paid NBC to get rid of it.
how did she lose that year---she came out really flat at the finals. Its like she totally underestimated Simona

Why didn't she serve like this in final?
Can’t understand how she reached multiple finals after birth all the work to get there and not win 1. Just angers me lol I will never get over it.

You have to keep playing even when they cheat
I want a documentary about the mental block she was having In these finals after giving birth
