I love it when you do the key west vids. Can’t wait to move outa Illinois and go south to Florida. Just trying to find the right area. Cocoa area, Port Charlotte area or south towards keys. Keep the vids coming man. I watch them all the time.
Amazing footage all over! Never been to Florida, but it's interesting how shallow the sea is even 2 miles in.. I'm not very sea-experienced, but that' was just so strange you can see the bottom like that.
The gulf side it can be a few feet deep for hundreds of feet out and in the keys there are miles of flats. Florida is the best for fishing. Gotta check it out sometime-you won’t regret it!
Yeah it's so shallow.. it's funny you fish from the bridges there when the water is murky and swear it's 20 feet deep then you got on a nice day when the water is clear and see it's actually 4 feet deep. Lol
Damn that drone shot of the American Crocodile was nice. Great video! One of my favorites is the original Keys bridge Jack/grouper fishing video in the same spot. I’m REALLY hoping you go back to the “inches from death” bridge for this new Keys series. Thanks as always!
Such a beautiful life you have there I started saltwater fishing my last 2 yrs in Florida but never got my kayak out. Most wonderful thing to do. You are so lucky to live there. I had to move back to NY to be with family.
@@FishAholicTV heard yellow jacks are great eating as well, when we were fishing the keys in april there wasnt much going on at the bridges. Plenty are tarpon and big cudas swimming around but didnt want to eat any artificials or live baits.
@@FishAholicTV they’re yellows jacks and they are sushi grade fish. You may heard of land shark fishing , this is one of his favorite fish to eat. Top 3.
Yellow jacks are a bonus fish... sushi grade for half of the meat... the other half cooks up like chicken tenders. Make sure you have some wasabi and soy sauce next time! One of my favorite fish for the table.
This made my morning, another good one man. Swing through Pensacola one of these days, the Bay Bridge has been going hard on the redfish. I pulled out a 35.5 incher the other night.
@FishAholic Fishing Definitely, it is! The pilings out in the middle of the bay bridge have platforms at the base that you can climb onto from your yak and there are rod holders on most of them. Weve been fishing cut bait on carolina rigs from the pilings, but at night the big reds come up to the surface as well to feed on the small bait fish attracted to the bridge lights. You can sight fish them from your yak with a light searching for them on the surface id the conditions are calm. Its a blast dude. Its hot right now so if you make it this way, good luck! I filmed a couple of videos out there at night but I bet yours would be WAY better!
THAT'S A YELLOW JACK!! They are delicious! Nothing like a crevelle jack. Perfectly white, beautiful meat. I wish I was there. I would have tried to fill the cooler
Rich. I never comment on your videos and I should I really enjoy watching the videos ,,love kayak fishing thanks again you do a great job we enjoy the video’s
Those pretty jacks are yellow jacks..we catch them off the 3 mile bridge on mm70...my buddy caught a 23 inch permit last weekend...you might want to check it out....
@@FishAholicTV yea of course! i love the videos and since i am new to fishing ive learned so much just from watching your videos. Keep up the amazing work!
Great footage, so nice to see someone with such respect for the fish they catch and laughed at all the comments from folks who couldn't understand why you didn't kill everything.
Hahaha yeah I do like to release fish and I do like to eat some as well. But only if I can eat it fresh. I was camping on this trip and didn't have a way to cook them so they all went back.
Bonefish! You have to try for Bonefish again. Not sure if this is a season to catch them on the flats but I loved that episode where you went hunting for them!
@@FishAholicTV Darn!! That was one of my favorite episodes that you did. Stinks that winter is the best time for them. You go one day and get on in the double digits. I’m sure of it. Keep up the great work man!
Hey buddy, love your videos and I'm gonna be taking my first trip to the keys this year in April or June, this being my first time in the keys and south Florida all together, I'm curious what ramps you would suggest putting my kayaks in, I would love to get on a good jack bite and maybe some snook and snapper. I'll be coming for a week and want to fish the mangroves 1 day , 7 mile 1 or 2 days, and maybe some canals 1 or 2 days. Any information you have would be supper helpful with put in areas and what not. Thanks man and keep on making the awesome videos. -Beau Wade.
I live in sweden and i wish i could catch all those cool fishes! now its winter and cold af here and i cant really fish! But we do have some cool fish here! like the European perch, basically like a yellow perch except they can get up to 8.8 pounds, and thats big for a perch, and we also have pike, zander, and many more but thse are the main predators here in sweden! but ur living ur life mate, i would love to fish in the us for both bass and saltwater fishes.

Those jacks you caught and weren't sure what they were, are actually Yellow Jacks! Great eating fish. Look up recipes, they are so good you can even use them for sushi!!! :-)
Your videos inspired me to get a yak a few weeks back and start fishing ft lauderdale. Literally hyping myself up now with this video as I'm loading it up for a few hours of afternoon fishing. Keep up the awesome videos! 👌
I appreciate the extra effort you make to get drone shots, underwater shots and editing.Very high quality videos!!
Thanks Thomas! it definitely makes my day longer but makes it worth it in the end!
Black grouper, yellow jacks (great eating, no limits), and the blue stripe jack up top is a bar jack.
Nice I’ll have to keep one next time I’m out! Thanks Dylan, tight lines! 🤙🏻
They make superb sashimi as well
Great video lots of action
holy cow im here watching you throw back some of the best eating fish 😅🎣👍👍

@@miamiwax5504 A lot of the bridges are in pretty deep water but there are definitely bridges that go across some really shallow water.
its so shallow because most of the keys waters are natural reef.

In which application are you checking the species of fish?
On the FWC website.
Have you tried a sabiki rig for bait?
Absolutely amazing, always wanted to go there
Rich that fish was a yellow jack and it amazing to eat.
Really cool
I think that was a black grouper, the patterns look familiar to other ones that I’ve seen diving the keys
try a sabiki for the bait fish. you'll catch several per drop (usually).
