I like how the computer considers it a design flaw for the ship to be bigger than the universe.

To be fair, designing a ship that's bigger than the universe you're going to use it to travel in would be a pretty serious flaw. It's just not one that comes up very often.

As the bubble reality changes, the computer’s memory changes too, causing it to believe that things have always been the way they are now. It refers to the hull breach as a “design flaw,” because as far as the computer is concerned, the Enterprise has always existed as a ship with the front chopped off, which would indeed be a “design flaw”. That’s what makes this scene hilarious to me.

That was why he was mean and acting ensign and put on the track for Starfleet Academy, so he could have closer supervision and guidance.

If a thing leaves the warp field (which starts out the size of the universe and exponentially shrinks), it gets erased from history. At first, the homeworlds of the crew get erased causing them to vanish. Eventually this happens to the ship itself once the warp field is small enough - those sections "ahead of bulkhead 342" just never existed in the first place, which is why the computer calls it a design flaw instead of damage or something.
Though it makes you wonder then, why the Enterprise itself didn't just vanish when Earth and Mars left the warp field.
Instead of Picard just vanishing, the whole ship vanishes along side him, resulting in Crusher getting spaced.
So I don't think this is exactly the case.

Only Beverly would have known the bulkheads were closed because of warp reality collapse. The computer would have a memory of those bulkheads having always been closed with the edge of the universe right behind it.

If the bubble was collapsing at 15 m/second it would be lost in around 48 seconds owing to it being around 700 meters and change.
For is to collapse in 4 minutes at a rate if 15 meters/second the bubble would have to be around 3600 meters.

It's episodes like this that I can't help but laugh at the Trekkie memes about how Star Trek is all hard science and every other science fiction franchise is "just" fantasy. Star Trek was always science fantasy, guys, and the sooner you accept it, the sooner you will truly enjoy it for what it really is.

I agree. However compare this to NuTrek. And this episode looks like hard science when compared. I use to pick on Trekies.
Now Star War nerds and Trekies have all been equally screwed over.
The time has come when we put our differences aside and realize what is going on now with these IP. They no longer represent nerd/geek culture.
But identity politics. And pushing agendas.
Star Trek was always very progressive. Yet they didn't think it was progressive enough.
Coming from a show that had the \/\/oman claiming something must be wrong with the universe, instead of it just being her.
Typical. Ha ha ha ha ha.. Such non sense fantasy land.
Good ole escapism. But that is dead now Jim.

1:25 15 meters per second collapse? I don't think so. That would eat up the Enterprise in a couple seconds, not four minutes. Roughly 576 meters in length, 7.5 meters per second on each end, it would eat away the ship in 77 seconds if it only occured from one end, but since it is centered on the engineering deck, it would swallow the ship in roughly half a minute as soon as it started touching it.

So we know her thoughts duplicated the universe for a brief time. Like in the initial state, everything was duplicated before it started collapsing.
