    I bought my first trail cam in 2018. It was an Apeman H45. Simple, reliable, decent videos and photos but nothing to write home about. I use them for rural property security mostly to see who might be trespassing. Get some great wildlife footage too. Detection range is maybe 35 to 40 feet and sometimes triggered by sound first. Have been trying to find a good cell cam but can't settle in on something that is simple, reliable and inexpensive. So I keep buying more Apemans and flooding my zone with them. Not as good as a cell cam but I check them frequently enough and they are under $50 each. They are best value for what I need. I don't have money to waste trying cameras only to find out I cant get them to work well or have to learn how to operate many different cameras.

    We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

    I've never had much luck with stealth cams, they seem to miss alot of pics. I've found that basically any trailcam that opens up and swings out away from the battery compartment is prone to failure. Browning are the best that I've used.

    You should give Stealth Cam's Reactor cellular camera a try, takes way better daytime pictures than the Fusion but I find the Fusion takes better nighttime pictures than the Reactor!

    I have a couple of Covert cams that are really nice. Monthly cost for one is $10 IIRC and if you add a second cam it's only $5. I also have a couple Reveal X cams which work well and are cheaper than the Covert.
    The service can be turned off for the winter/spring/summer months if you don't want to pay for doe and fawn, moving bushes, birds flying by and not getting caught by the cam etc. pictures. Spring time for turkeys is well worth it if you have enough to trigger them. And the late night pictures of raccoons will make you want to get thermal.
    Also your phone company doesn't matter when buying a cam, what matters is the best signal in the area you are putting the camera in.
    That camera sends the picture (or video if you have the Reolink) to the company's cloud. You then get a notification (if turned on) that your camera took a picture. You then see the picture off their cloud and not from your phone company. So when you see the cam box saying it's either Verizon or ATT, just be sure the signal where you're putting is whichever one is strongest.
    When placing the camera always be sure not to put it facing sunrise or sunset. You'll get really useless pictures.

      @jsecure1569 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be the Tacticam Reveal X is cheaper to buy. They might be a buck or two more expensive on the monthly charge.

      I started using a Spypoint Flex Camera. The app has the coordinates at the time of the last upload. If a camera gets stolen and gets turned on the owner will get a picture, the gps coordinates, date and time (auto set through gps), temperature, and battery %. I am guessing other good cell cameras are similar. Don't steal them, you can't use them, can't even turn them on without getting caught.

      The Orange Tape is no where close to actual property markers,...and I saw his father just behind my house looking up hill at the orange tape then out in the street on the other side of my property looking up hill at the orange tape.

    "best" trail camera? a stealthcam? c'mon now. there are many 'amazon' cams that are better than any other cams out there, easy. and when you factor in price, they are waaay better. the 'namebrand' cams are severely over-priced, especially when their quality hasn't really improved over the years.
    and cell-cams are pretty much just a preference for one's area. lots of areas don't have coverage. then, you have to place the cam for optimal reception, instead of optimal cam location. i enjoyed my cell-cam at first, but then found it just wasn't best for deer locations. i want my cams hid, which means in the trees, under branches, etc. cell-cams do have their place, but they aren't going to be optimal for everyone.
    and for a cell-cam, it would be crazy not to go with the spypoint solar cellular. personally, i hate spypoint, but it's alot better than the stealthcam, being solar.
    myself, i'm all about video, and the cam has to have great night-vision. sound, i can live without, it's not even necessary. but, it does make the vids more enjoyable. i think, for me, the top features are night-vision, video quality, and battery life. i'll never buy a 'name-brand' again, only the 'overseas' brands.

      @@mymate18 campark and gardepro are some of the best cams out there. I think brownings are the best of the 'namebrand' companies, but they're all made in china too, so why not just buy a chinese brand. I'm not paying extra for them to fancy package a cam and pretend it's american.

      Do you not know what a product review is? It’s your opinion on the product…
      If you’re looking for product specifications, then a product review on TH-cam probably isn’t the best place to be doing your research.
