Amazing! I can’t wait to visit the place my family is from. It is beautiful and produced some of the hardest working, most loving people there are. Thanks for posting this!
Thank you for this pleasant video. At 2:35 in the video I believe the camera is passing along a lane called Vico Assalone. The lane shows up on the Google Earth view of Gallo Matese and you can drop down onto it, and travel along it there. My last name is Assalone, my great grand parents were from Gallo Matese, came to the U.S. and originally settled in New York City where my paternal grand father was born. They then moved on to Pennsylvania. Surprisingly, many families I grew up around here have their origins in Gallo Matese, Palumbo, Chiodi, Carpin (Carpini?) and probably others.
Hi Jim! We're likely related, as all of those names you mentioned are, not only major Gallo family surnames, but appear in every corner of my extensive family tree. Up to 33K right now, & I have it traced back to the 1400's. Feel free to reach out to me on social media or at my TV station in Cincinnati & I can see how we're connected! Ciao! Stef D
@@StefDiPietrantonio This is a surprise Stef D! It may take me a while to respond adequately - it's just how I'm designed according to my Human Design chart, lol. Thank you for your invitation to communicate further, Ciao.
I still see it as a beautiful town! Every relative I spent time with is so proud of their home, their church, their crops & proud of their businesses! I could absolutely feel the spirits of our ancestors walking with me! There's a beauty in time standing still, something so very unspoiled & simple, & that to me is beautiful in every way. :)
Just watched with my mom (Castaldo) who was born in Gallo. We visited a few years ago and it immediately felt like home! Such a beautiful town, we plan to go back next year.
So glad you enjoyed it! I'll be back for Sant'Antonio 2024 in a couple weeks & plan to take many more videos of our beloved Gallo Matese! Stay tuned! :)
@@StefDiPietrantonio I look forward to it! We actually watched a video of Sant'Antonio 2023 and saw my aunt and cousins in the procession! We are hoping to go back in 2025. Thank you again. I feel truly blessed to be connected to Gallo.
@@LupiniBeanie I posted a long video of the Sant'Antonio Processione here on my channel. Check it out! From beginning to end, I loved walking it! Glad you could spot your cousins in it! I'll post plenty of our beloved Gallo Matese videos here in a few weeks once I'm back!
@@StefDiPietrantonio I truly love learning about Gallo's history. Do you by chance know any Rocchios or Boianos in Cincinatti? My great aunt was Katherine (Rocchio) Boiano
@@LupiniBeanie They'd be related but I haven't met them yet! But every time I show new Gallo videos on TV here on the FOX station, new cousins come out of the woodwork! So tell them to look me up on social media! Happy to connect with more Gallesi! We're everywhere! :)
Very interesting! My grandfather, Carl, was a Pietranton. He hailed from Lewis Run, Pennsylvania. Would you know of any connection(s) between us, Stef?

Prego! Yes! Some of the most hard-working, great-hearted people you will ever meet! Make it a point to go, you will wonder why you waited so long! :)

how beautiful my town is, it's a shame that there's no one left, it's becoming a ghost town, broken roads and weeds everywhere
