They also won Best Choreography, which I'm a dancer my self, and I find that literally insane. Sure Supernova has catchy moves, like the dance break, but we are really judging a choreo just by catchy moves? The structure is good, but it lacks on diversity, there is no complexity, formations are very basics, like to me at least this award should have gone to NewJeans or RIIZE, these are well thought dance choreos. Like we have NJ that brought us back in the 80s/90s with Supernatural, with moves like the Tom & Jerry, Roger Rabbit and the Running Man, they even used locking. About RIIZE - Impossible it was literally incredible how they implemented so much housing in the choreo, the dance break is insane, that choreo is a whole workout.

Aespa's styling team is literally so unpredictable. One time they'll give the girls bombass makeup and fits and the next day they'll give half baked styling.... Like i was so frustrated on their red carpet styling... They literally had such great fits on day 1 where they got all dolled up for karina's opening and receiving fan choice award... But literally the next day when they were supposed to be one of the main events of the night, their stylist team flopped... Like aespa was literally the most successful group of sm this year and they can't even put some efforts into the girls.... And don't get me started on the "solo stage " mediaplay. Each of the member performed like 10s of their solos... Up, one of the biggest solo hits this year, could've had an epic stage.... But they decided to show the back dancers more than the actual artist. Like the cameraman made me wanna rip my hair out... Like i watched the fancam and the dance routine was lit... But if u watch the actual performance, You'll think they didn’t even have a dance routine.... Like i only tuned in this year for aespa.... And aespa deserved the AOTY.... Fight me... 1: I thought I was the only one who felt this way. For a group that BAGGED 6 AWARDS, 1 of them being a Daesang, I thought we'd get something that would BLOW US AWAY. And, everyone had high expectations for AESPA, especially because everyone was saying how AESPA would bag SOTY; soo yeah, a bit disappointing. I think AESPA's strong in songs, but weak in performance for award shows.
They’ve always had these problems . They have gotten better but there is always something missing . Over all SM did not put that much money into the stages . While every HYBE staged looked really expensive.

1: AGREED. After they owned the whole 2024 year with their comebacks and went viral for improving in live singing and stage presence, I expected something LOT better. Like I don't think they gave their 100% to the performance. Some parts Ningning and Karina didn't even lip-sync, Giselle looked awkward here and there. I think Winter was the most eye catching member with her performance and facial expression, it was fun to watch her but the overall stage was a let down. 2. GIDLE owned the stage... 🔥 I'm still under its effect. Their live vocals and Soyeon and Minnie hyping up the crowd added more perfection to it.

Yea GD didnt need that made up award hes literally a musical prodigy and the king of kpop. Like we been knew hes a visionary. His/BIGBANG performance was enough to remind us of his power. Mic drop. Honestly, the best group award should have been given to (G)I-dle. They are the most complete group. Not only because they sang totally LIVE and without backtracks, but let's remember that they have so much beautiful songs, with different styles and important themes. In addition to being almost all songwriters, composers, producers, and now also directors of their own videos. They know how to dance well, if you go and watch their performance videos. And without forgetting that they have the best Rapper, as well as very good vocalists. They are truly complete and in my opinion they received an injustice. They are currently the best girl group. The same goes for Le sserafim, who should have won the best choreography award. They are the best dancers without a doubt!

At the top there are currently 5 groups, in terms of artistry and awards: BP, (G)I-dle, aespa, Ive, Le sserafim, I am a fan of all these 5 groups, I love all of them and I answer you as an honest fan. Everyone deserved it, but in this Mama edition something was unfairly taken away from someone and if I say this it is because it is also for the good of the group. If they want to grow and be considered at the top, they are very good at singing, but they need to improve in performing and should sing live, this is definitely why G-idle are on the top and in fact they have more awards in their career, as 4th gen. girl group.

Sure Supernova has catchy moves, like the dance break, but we are really judging a choreo just by catchy moves? The structure is good, but it lacks on diversity, there is no complexity, formations are very basics, like to me at least this award should have gone to NewJeans or RIIZE, these are well thought dance choreos. Like we have NJ that brought us back in the 80s/90s with Supernatural, with moves like the Tom & Jerry, Roger Rabbit and the Running Man, they even used locking. About RIIZE - Impossible it was literally incredible how they implemented so much housing in the choreo, the dance break is insane, that choreo is a whole workout.
As a NEVERLAND, even I was shocked, I'm not gonna be ignorant and say they fully deserved that award, but COSMIC literally screams a vocal based song.

2. THEY SLAYED!!!!! my favourite part of this year's MAMA was soyeon mentioning THE SOOJIN. Her rap got interpreted the wrong way tho. It was a clear diss at CUBE
Aespa's styling team is literally so unpredictable. One time they'll give the girls bombass makeup and fits and the next day they'll give half baked styling.... Like i was so frustrated on their red carpet styling... They literally had such great fits on day 1 where they got all dolled up for karina's opening and receiving fan choice award... But literally the next day when they were supposed to be one of the main events of the night, their stylist team flopped... Like aespa was literally the most successful group of sm this year and they can't even put some efforts into the girls.... And don't get me started on the "solo stage " mediaplay. Each of the member performed like 10s of their solos... Up, one of the biggest solo hits this year, could've had an epic stage.... But they decided to show the back dancers more than the actual artist. Like the cameraman made me wanna rip my hair out... Like i watched the fancam and the dance routine was lit... But if u watch the actual performance, You'll think they didn’t even have a dance routine.... Like i only tuned in this year for aespa....

1: I thought I was the only one who felt this way. For a group that BAGGED 6 AWARDS, 1 of them being a Daesang, I thought we'd get something that would BLOW US AWAY. And, everyone had high expectations for AESPA, especially because everyone was saying how AESPA would bag SOTY; soo yeah, a bit disappointing. I think AESPA's strong in songs, but weak in performance for award shows.
They’ve always had these problems . They have gotten better but there is always something missing . Over all SM did not put that much money into the stages . While every HYBE staged looked really expensive.

A matter of fact that seventeen just finished the tour two or three days before and the whole Industry knows that how long their concerts and encores are. Sometimes we even think that they might not be humans because of how much effort they put the day before and come back to the stage the next day like nothing has happened.
Same with Enhypen. They came between their tour to perform at MAMA, and I believe Txt also recently finished touring. HYBE bgs are really WORKING rn.

1: AGREED. After they owned the whole 2024 year with their comebacks and went viral for improving in live singing and stage presence, I expected something LOT better. Like I don't think they gave their 100% to the performance. Some parts Ningning and Karina didn't even lip-sync, Giselle looked awkward here and there. I think Winter was the most eye catching member with her performance and facial expression, it was fun to watch her but the overall stage was a let down.

Honestly, the best group award should have been given to (G)I-dle. They are the most complete group. Not only because they sang totally LIVE and without backtracks, but let's remember that they have so much beautiful songs, with different styles and important themes. In addition to being almost all songwriters, composers, producers, and now also directors of their own videos. They know how to dance well, if you go and watch their performance videos. And without forgetting that they have the best Rapper, as well as very good vocalists. They are truly complete and in my opinion they received an injustice. They are currently the best girl group.

If they want to grow and be considered at the top, they are very good at singing, but they need to improve in performing and should sing live, this is definitely why G-idle are on the top and in fact they have more awards in their career, as 4th gen. girl group.
