Since the two are so small, if Bethesda chooses Valenwood or Elsweyr, they might put them in as one map. And maybe we could have like a war between the wood elfs and kahjiits. That would be bad ass.
i'm extremley late to the party, but here's my thought on what a game with this theme would have. in the harsh reaches of elsweyr, an ancient tribe has been awoken deep underground. they have been shown a path to the lands of the khajiit. but this isn't a normal caravan or tribe. they are of a long-gone race, cousins to the khajiit gone exctinct before even the first era. they didn't just fade away though, they were killed off for the good of tamriel. nobody knows they have come back, becuase nobody knew of their existance. it was a secret held tightly. but slowly there are reports of nobles and peasants alike, from high rock to black marsh, losing their minds and becoming lifeless. then they go crazy, trying to seek one person down and kill them. this is rare so it is generally ignored, until it happens to the emperor. the reports are more common, and the native khajiit of elsweyr are succumbing to the force. but deep down, while escaping a mighty sandstorm, somebody uncovers a journal in a different language. this is the protagonist of the game. only one person, an old and lost mage in elsweyr, knows how to translate it. the protagonist must get it to this man and translate the journal. but they do not have to worry about the reports, becuase they are the one person in all of tamriel who is immune. however, they are also the person everyone seeks out. and as the reports get more common, they find out the journal talks of how to stop them. they must avoid everyone who has been cursed, and find the ancient tribe.

Bethesda Game Studios has other projects. They've _said_ that they have two major projects between now and TESVI, if I'm not mistaken. Hell, they might wait until ESO dies off to prevent interbrand competition. I'm fairly certain that either Todd Howard or Pete Hines have said that TESVI _will_ come out, but it's a long ways off thanks to technological restraints and, like I said, _other projects._ They aren't just a one-trick TES pony. Yes, six years (seven this November) is a long damn time to wait, but there's really nothing to suggest that TESVI has been cancelled.
Elder Scrolls online really messed up :/ They had one damn shot and they blew it. Why don't publishers understand how costly it is to develop a MMORPG? They gotta count a minimum cost of at least $600,000,000

GTA V cost about the same around 200-270 million dollars (hard estimate because they had to start over about a year into development). Witcher 3 had a VERY small development budget of 35 million dollars. But that's developed outside of the US, in Poland, a very cheap country to develop games in. Take for example Wow cost 200 million dollars to develop and that's only for vanilla. Keep in mind that this game is an MMORPG. It needs content to last for a LONG time. It needs to be bigger than skyrim. Skyrim had a huge player drop after 2 years. This game have to last for at least 4-5 years to get its money back. Keep in mind, 200 million dollar was Wow back in 2001-2005, this is 10 years later, development cost have gone up, and so ahs the standard set by MMORPGs. Development is fucking pricey. Also don't throw around the word retarded without knowing what you're talking about. Since you're comparing weird ass games to an MMORPG. I know people in the gaming development industry, so stop being so rude. Most MMORPGs have around 200-300 million dollars development cost, and most fail. Look at Destiny, it had about 500 millions and it failed because its PS4-only (stupid as fuck) and got no story, but it oozes quality gameplay.
idk i just got it for ps4 and i am surprised at how good it is. it feels like a real tes game, except for the wow style combat skills, which actually fit really well and are fun to use
