We have great musicians in Bim but no one took the time to take it to the next level. Until Crop Over came around our calypso got no respect.
But Crop Over aroused our creative juices. Presto we revolutionized the music with our tuk flavor.
I am sure if we had a National Spouge Festival at NIFCA, it might stimulate the same zeal and revive spouge.

I can't understand why bajan bands just rush thru their spouge songs.
After over 54 years it still sounds like a beat. Still unrefined. Lose the cowbell and give it some room to breath and be creative. Gawd!
