@@Neon-Lines dont think so, if you nerf LS even more, whats the point of healing? if you are just shit in pvp and cant kill healers, then you are doing something wrong. Sad truth.
Let me ask you something: how would you go about solo questing in high (60+) level areas? I just came back to the game, used to play lifestaff+hatchet and I am now wondering what weight, attributes and weapons I should use for that.
One thing I'd like to hear about is your technique, the healers, in managing additional enemies not picked up in high mutations. I'm unsure specifically about the rest of my team but I'm of the opinion that as a healer I pull so much threat with the amount of healing output that most of the time every enemy being engaged besides the one the tank is bashing turns to me. This is common yet I don't know. I've had really bad depths runs. I'm stuck on codex 9 right now. Tempest and Lazarus runs also have this behavior. There's evidence in the others but I haven't really done those as much or it's not noticeable to me. I've seen how going to a medium equipment load helps lessen the healing output and better distribute threat so that's one thing. The other could be my teammates not being CC heavy. My tank has a hammer and another person has a hammer but the others high damage type oriented (spear, bow, blunderbuss) instead of being a dedicated hammer/greataxe bruiser, so to say. So again, I don't really know. I feel the developers need to re-tune the mutated depths timer up by five or ten minutes because no one's getting gold without sacrificing at least one of those multiplier requirements (10). This is kind of a specific thing to playing a healer though and may actually just be a mutate only thing. Undoubtedly ranged enemies with aggro to me but it's also the melee/short melee enemies on my ass I wish were picked up by others.
My opinion is that 3 things should go into this; 1-DPS needs to be prioritizing rounding up adds and taking them to the tank for peel. Too often you see DPS focusing on the enemy the tank is on or ganging up on the same add together to nuke it down while the healer gets jacked by the rest. DPS peeps (myself included since I both heal and DPS at 625/M10 levels have trained our brains on *hulk smash**must hurt things* 2-Very rare to see a healer with any threat reduction in their gear because we all prioritize things that help us pump out more heals. I am as guilty of this as anyone, so I don't know how much it actually helps. I'd be interested in our buddy @BagginsTV here giving us some testing/info on that end? 3-Devs really should to look at healer threat gen. A mob automatically going after a healer for the simplest small dot or buff just because nobody has done a decent amount of damage to it yet is a bit on the extreme side. I know we need to take adds to the peel sometimes too, but it's a bit much most of the time as it currently works. I don't think it needs to be a massive adjustment, but some help would be nice there. But then again, if the threat reduction on gear actually works to a significant enough degree to resolve this issue, then the choice becomes on us and not the devs.
Your team needs to let you tank build threat by attacking mobs, rounding them up and using taunts to lock them down. Your dps can help attack or wait for tank to pull the mobs. Don’t drop heals early as that adds threat towards you. Spear and hammer is really good overall for dps to carry in any dungeon to add rend (your squad needs to use the weapons and elements that the dungeons’ mobs are weak to). Healer can use orb with VG to rend mobs from a distance and also heal teammates on its return phase. If your team is mot wiping or dying and time is the only reason you’re not getting gold, then your team has to round up mobs better and or skip some mobs entirely. You can do it!
so, i LOVE these healer builds videos, the only thing you skirt over (that i feel is necessary to show) is how many individual points are in each attribute. Like, we know 300/200, but is there a base minimum for the AP gained from all 60 levels, or does it matter as long as 300/200 is hit? I think i'm asking for those who are actively leveling their healer class (such as myself) so we have a good base prior to getting end-game gear.
Running solo I would do medium armor with intelligence of 150 and focus of 150 with 100 constitution. I hit hard af and would tear apart Shattered Mountains zone soloing 66 elites because the heals were so pimp and the damage was beefy.
I’m back to running VG in pvp. Ice shower and grav well can be escaped without rapier if you manage your stamina well. Scream perk on VG gives 40% heal reduction for 8 seconds and nullifying oblivion is still the strongest perk in the game imo as it removes all the fortifies people stack.
short sweet and perfect guide. I dont play healer but still wanted to see this. Really really good format. please more of these. Also, a tip : when you make guides for mage, ranged etc, also do mention their playstyle, role and viability. Like I play mage only since game release but right now it feels like mages are in a very weak spot, talent wise, perk wise etc. Would like to know how far from meta the build is. Like in pve mutated dungeons all people want is spear or bruisers, nobody wants to take a mage. Also pvp I think mages have a sweet spot in wars doing point damage but other than that, its not really that good anymore. A 30 second or a minute long chapter in the video for this topic would be the cherry on top . Thank you if you read this wall of text xD
very nice guide. I play with VG because it provides more support for the team in pvp but you have to be more skilled bc you dont have any escape. for gems i go for a 10%/10% split, because as a healer you face every type of damage.
I just hit lvl 60 and am struggling to get 300 Focus/200 Constitution. Could you provide a detailed breakdown of all the armour/weapon attributes as well as how you assign the attributes manually? Thanks! The closest I can get with food buffs is 290 Focus/200 Constitution so I must be missing 10 pts of Focus somewhere on my gear/assignment.
Is it because I don't have 625 Expertise on my gear/weapons? I see your Weapons have 31 Focus and Armour 26 Focus where my Weapons are 30 and my Armour 24-25.
Can you explain why the 300 Focus ? As far as I can see, anything past 250 Focus is a waist of points unless you have a Mana management problem (which I don't) Would it not better served to have the spare point value sitting in Con to have a 60% damage reduction, so a 250 / 250 build ?
you get dps checks in high level dungeons and as healer you should still be able to do some dps. normally its the task of a tank to keep the healer safe at all times
I'm a healer main in Elder Scrolls Online. I've been wanting to try New World for a while but from the rocky launch, i held off on it. Are there large PvE raids/trials like ESO has with 12 people to take down large bosses with high end rewards? A lot of your statements make sense to me as they have similarities to ESO. I'm just not sure if I should pay for the game if the endgame is stale? :o
I hated on launch that in order to heal, you had to limit yourself to a single weapon. It sounds like the Void Gauntlet helps a little bit though. Still feels really restrictive.
It is bad game design that you lose the advantages/buffs of one weapon when you switch to the second weapon. This results in much less synergy effects. Amazon is taking the easiest route here, so they only have to balance 3 abilities per weapon in the end. As someone who has been playing MMORPGS for over 20 years, the skill system in NW feels very limiting.
Fortifying sacred ground at the moment only stays active if the life staff is always in your hand. If you place the sacred ground and swap to your secondary the fortify will not apply to the sacred anymore. If it’s on your armor it will stay
@@lllDolph you don't lose the fortify straight away , once you swap weapon it gives you 5 second of the fortify and resets when you take your lifestaff back out ...but none the less the best weapon perk for lifestaff, if you are a group healer is divine embrace as it puts it on a .5 second cooldown , and for Zerg healing (if anyone stills run this 🤣) is mending protection then
Do you need to keep rolling for the 15% heal buff when you're running the bubble ground aoe build or do you just need the 15% buff when you cast it? I have a friend who thinks he needs to keep rolling or the ground aoe heals will lose potency.
hey Baggins. can you do a life staff levelling guide. really would like to heal but levelling it is a pain. currently my life staff level is 14. much appreciated
Ngl, I'd like to return to New World, but the performance issues have been getting worse and worse lately. My computer is pretty mid tier (i5 7500 + GTX 1070), but it's not bad enough to cause 3 seconds long stutters like once every 30 seconds. NW doesn't even take 100% of my CPU/GPU/Drive, so I'm pretty sure the game causes problems and not my PC. Not to mention that NW used to run just fine on my PC and my friend with way better computer (i7 10700 + RTX 3070) has similar problems for whatever reason. Well, NW used to be fun for me. When it was playable.
Same here on a GTX 1070 with an i7. Game performance is simply horrible. - How do I know that it's the game that is the issue, you ask? Because NW is the ONLY game in my whole library that make my PC sound like a jet engine. Fans running on full. Like it's struggling just to stay alive. NW ran better around launch and have sincw progressivly gone worse after every patch. As is i won't replay the game until AGS get their head together and fix the performance. To do so would be like torturing my PC. To make a MMORPG and then have that game run like dog poop when the genre is about having several hundred players online on a server at the same time is the dumbest design fail ever🙈 Look I don't even care about the rest of the terrible design decisions AGS have made/still does, but the performance issues should be prio 1 to fix over there.
I have a question. I am new to healing in new world. I have healed in other mmo. I really prefer aoe heals. Is that viable in pve content for new world. If so what is the suggested build and gear choice?
so why refreshing move over just regular refreshing? you get the same % reduction on cooldowns but without having to do anything to get the reduction. Also what about a guide on like the most ideal gear and where to get it? like full set and life staff. Idk if its just because i havent gotten lucky with drops or amazon is just fucking the healers with not having any good drops but i feel like every drop i get its just not that good and its hard to compare with any content creator because everyone only plays the ptr lol
Can someone help me out here? I'm just stepping back into this game. I've been trying to find a Void Gauntlet like this. Cannot for the life of me find a void gauntlet like this at all. Only INT gauntlets in my market. My crafting isn't there to craft my own. Is there a boss that drops these?
The one baggins uses isn’t a named item. I have the dark vengeance which is an amazing VG that dropped in Laz for me. I’ve done a ton of Laz since I got it and I haven’t gotten again tho
I had 10.1k HP yesterday and earlier today. Without changing any gear, I was suddenly down to 9.129 HP me thinking it was to do with town buff, but it's not anyone else losing hp for no reason?
Do you have a build for fresh 60s? That gear is expensive as hell. smh, this looks like something people use when they have their gear maxed. in which case, why play? XD
the problem is that you need this gear and the specific perks INCLUDING the different Ward buffs. Which basically forces you to have 3 sets of gear which is going to be insanely expensive. This is if you want to run mutations. This is such bad game design. Idk....
Now if only it was possible to get the gear for all these setups easily... It's ridiculous how much it takes to even begin building or crafting the sets to find perks you need in New World. Can farm PVE for weeks and not get anything useful, or you can grind for months, just to be able to afford a single piece for a set, that may not even be BiS. It's absurd and is seriously causing me to become very unmotivated and uninterested in the game.
