The person who did the music for this game went on to be one of the main developers of the Elder Scrolls series. He and some other talents from the Elder Scrolls series are working on a new game called Wayward Realms.
I remember this, huge sprites for the Amiga, a game that finally fully took advantage of the Amiga's hardware, even many games that weren't lazy ST ports that were out of the ST still used a lot of the same code and could have been better.
What a trip down a memory lane! Completely forgot about this one, remember watching it on local TV show could not believe it was the graphics on home computer. By the time I got my Amiga 500 I completely forgot about it and have never played it.
People don't understand how playing this in your home was the pinnacle of gaming and technology back in the day I wish I could be as impressed now about a game like I was back in the day about these ones
For the time the huge sprites very impressive on the amiga , yes the gameplay was lacking but to show off the amiga graphics a great title ,especially level 2
I drooled when I first saw the screenshots of this for Genesis. Then I played the game. I really didn't understand how the hell to get very far and got frustrated quickly, returning it after renting it then never looking back....but years later I fired up again emulating with Kega Fusion. I spent about a half hour of it, then abandoned it again. What a dang shame !
Awesome video, precisely the kind of content I enjoy. The commentary makes me feel like I'm playing the game even though I could never be that good with those devious traps and some very unfriendly design. I'd advise against the word "attempt" in the title if you beat the game, people might assume you lost somewhere along the way so they don't get to see the whole game or the ending and are less likely to watch the whole thing.
Yeah i rememeber back when it came out, these huge sprites was impressive and and all the details and blood just enhanced the experience....Never cleared it though, think i died somewhere in the city.

You make this game look fun, which I didn't think was possible. Cheers!
no
Sodan were a North Europe group that used to create demo on Amiga, so this explain why this game from the technical point of view is impeccable :)

Great graphics, awful game.

Thank you.
I played this game back in 1988 and solved it back then on the Amiga 500. I loved the game. I was 19 years old. I thought the graveyard was the best

That's a HORRIBLE version, the Amiga is the only version to play even if using emulation.
I remember it on the Sega Genesis.
I really enjoyed watching this. The game is kind of like an interactive story book.
Great game, i loved this as a kid
Holy nostalgia - I spent hours playing this game!
Congratulations
Back in the day I thought this abomination rivalled Sega's arcade masterpiece, Golden Axe! LOL! 🤣
It's one of my favourites Amiga games

This game was awesome. How about a dogs of war on Amiga video, loved that game
I miss my amiga
i used to play this on my amiga 1000
👍
I am pretty sure it was for Amiga with 1mb ram only.
Christmas Penance? A truly horrible game but the screenshots on the back of the box looked incredible at the time. Shame it played like a brick.
Why would you torture yourself like this?
It was a pleasure, I can appreciate a game that was a big deal when it was released even though It's not aged well.
@ thank you, i had more fun watching you play than me.
And so He Man and She Ra was born. 😂
Great game I would’ve had to use cheats definitely. Gg
The graphics were amazing but the gameplay was so terrible. lol
classic!
Technically impressive but very poor gameplay.
That sums it up.
Terrible game and gamer
Many thanks.
