I know I'm 3 years behind, but I have to tell you, Kevin, my heart is full just watching this. It was your love that healed her. So glad I found your channel!
I cant understand why many people dont like animals... I feel so happy to know she is healthy now... God bless you, Kevin. Kevin is love. Hugs from Brazil 🇺🇸🇧🇷🙏
I have had dogs all my life. A family pet is a huge responsibility and some people just don’t want to take that on, and I respect that. Maybe they travel for work, just one example. Some people are highly allergic and they have no choice but to stay away from animals. I hope these two examples help you understand that it is not always that people don’t like something, it usually involves circumstances.
What a lucky kitty to be part of such a loving home. I have a Vermont barn rescue cat I named Hildegard. She’s just a sweetheart. She turned me into a cat person. I’m so happy for the gift of life you have to this little creature. She will be a wonderful part of your lives.
My husband and daughter were out riding bikes on the road. 4 little kittens came out of the brush. Husband called , I told him to bring them home. We kept 2 , daughter took one and we gave 1 to friends. Someone had set them out. They were tiny. That was 9 years ago. All are doing well. We had never had cats. Chase and Scooter
She was so well taken care of. We adopted a bunny and cat that were not being adopted. We gave our bunny the best care creating a large pen for her and allowing her to free roam as well rather than stick her in a small cage. Shes a lot of work, daily cleaning and laundry galore from changing out the sheets and blankets we use to cover padded flooring in her pen, as bunnies pee around a lot. But I remind myself someone needs to care for her. It might as well be me! It's so great to see your commitment to the kitten at the time. Shes so lucky.
I am well aware that this video was made 3 years ago, but it still warms my heart and reflects the very best upon you as a wonderful human being!!! Kindness to animals is the measure of a human’s true worth!!! The time this took away from your work was time spent on a very worthwhile cause!!! I watched to the end-anyone who wouldn’t is just very hard-hearted and definitely not my kind of people!!! 💝💝💝
You saved her life and give her so much love and attention....she will be thankful to you for all of her life .. I have rescue animals too... you and your spouse did something very noble
We have a cat named Binky also. We think he was dropped off at our house - around 2010. He's a big black short hair male and almost weighs 19 lbs! We also have a brown tabby stray who looks a lot like your Binky. He was also dropped off and is the sweetest and most loving cat ever. His name is Huber. I love the story of your little Binky!
Loved this vlog. She is adorable! You have done miracles for this kitten. I think you are the best person she could have and will enjoy her forever home with you and Mr. Fox !
I’m so happy you videoed an update of Binky! She was so sick when you so heartfully took her in to save her! Speaks volumes to what a loving nurturing fabulous person you are! She is adorable! I adopted a runt of the litter from animal rescue years ago who had to reach 2lbs before they could let her go. She was mostly black and had semi long hair and she would lay around my neck as I walked around the house. I was her mother! Pets are wonderful!
I am still watching Binky : never too long for me. I've fostered 4 kitten's and have raised 2 pair of litter mates. We are now catless due to lifestyle circumstances so I've seen every video of your furry friends. I get such wonderful feelings when I watch. Thanks so much Kevin 🙏
Hello Chef Kevin Lee Jacobs, , Mr Fox, Binky, and Avery. Heartfelt condolences to everyone for your loss of Tiger. Your souls will meet again at another time in another dimension, guaranteed for sure. Hubby and I have many rescued cats, some live inside, some go outside when they wish, most are outside cats. Only one dog, Mortimer, is still with us from the five that found us in their time of need. He's old now and needs help getting up. Hubby helps him whenever, whether it be in the middle of the night or at anytime during the day. We had a baby chango, an extremely young black bird for awhile, Ziggy. Ziggy appeared without a mom. Although we tried to teach him to fly, he would never fly more than 4 or 5 feet, from the wooden house with terrace hubby built and attached high enough up on our house out of reach by any cat or dog. Ziggy loved bananas, which he ate most days and then needed a bath because he got banana all over himself. Wild changos soon came to hang with Ziggy every morning. We hoped he would join them and fly away with them, but he never flew. Ziggy died 6 years ago, and no more changos ever came around. Oddly, a month ago 2 changos appeared and sat on the gate exactly in the same spot where Ziggy would sit when he glided from his house to the gate. Hubby and I were together outside. The two changos talked excitedly to us for about 7 minutes and then flew away. I talked with him, not that we understood each other. It's my belief that Ziggy reincarnated as another chango, got himself a partner, and came back to visit us. It was a wonderful experience. Well, I'm not going to get into my close pets or close people that visited me after the death of their physical earthly body, suffice it to say I know our souls will meet again in the future. ..... So, I discovered your channel yesterday, May 14, 2023, when searching for bread recipes. I haven't made bread in years and got to thinking about the wonderful freshly baked bread aroma. One thing lead to another, I binge watched some of your videos, and tomorrow I'm going shopping for a green cabbage. If I find a cabbage, Hubby and I will be eating your oven baked cabbage with swiss cheese topping. I'm contemplating throwing in some scallions and a pinch of thyme - maybe, depends how the wind is blowing. After watching some of your cooking videos, I noticed video tours of your rooms, not normal for a cooking channel I thought. I selected the music room tour. Expecting to see amplifiers, speakers, lighting, seating, the works when you opened the door. What an unexpected surprise. I replayed and called hubby to watch, he has a degree in classic music and together we do currently delve into something like progressive punk something or another, sort of political stuff that bothers me about our world.. I'm a tad limited now at the age of 79.75, but he's still going strong. We both enjoyed your music room tour, such a lovely peaceful residence. I want to wish you Kevin Lee and all those near and dear whether they have two legs, four legs, or wings, I want to wish all - much happiness, peace, love, fantastic health, and the best that The Universe has to offer. Many thanks for your cooking videos, plus the special glimpses into all that you are and all that you do. 💙💜💙
Wow and amazing to see Binky's progress in such a short time! She's strong enough to now play like a normal kitten! I love pussycats, but never had one as a child as my father didn't like cats. I did get one as an adult, which looked like Binky, but Gucci had green/brown eyes. I felt as though I was there with you playing with Binky. Thank you Kevin for sharing your fun time with Binky who is lapping up all the love, care and feeding you are giving her. So heart warming to see and share with you. X Mary 😊😘
Glad to see Binky is doing well. It’s amazing how quickly kittens can learn how to use a litter box and to groom themselves. Keep doing what you’re doing. I think she’s doing very well. Looks like you’ll have a friend for life. ☺️
I have only just picked up on this video about Binky. She is such a pretty kitty. I now live in sheltered accommodation where it's no longer feasible for me to have a cat. My last two cats were rescue cats, Mimi and Violet. They were total opposites. Mimi was a fiend in feline form, and regarded herself as being the centre of the universe; everything had to be done on her terms. Violet was gentle and quiet ander never raised a paw in anger. When I brought her home she spent nearly three weeks living mainly under my spare room bed, which is how she got her name - shrinking Violet. Mimi's name soon came to me, which was actually Mehitabel, after the alley cat in the collection of poems, Archy and Mehitabel, which originated in the New Yorker, I think in the 1940s, written by Don Marquis. These poems were supposed to be the oevre of a cockroach who typed them on a typewriter by depressing the keys with his head while imbued with the spirit of Francois Villon, a ?13th/14th Parisian poet. Archy (the cockroach) inhabited an office along with other creatures who appeared there, who only emerged at night. I imagine that Don Marquis is far better known in the USA than he is here in the UK. If you haven't come across him, I'm sure you and Mr Fox would enjoy him - do you read to each other, like the Victorians; most appropriate in your lovely house? Mimi, sadly, died of leukaemia. Violet had hardly ever uttered the merest squeak while Mimi was alive but as soon as Mimi was gone she found her voice! I hope you are able to keep Binky for a long time, in good health.
I have just seen your video of Binky your rescue kitten. You are doing a superb job of looking after her and raising her. I have had rescue cats and kittens most of my adult life, and it so exciting to see how they can respond so quickly to love, affection, and care. Thank you for sharing this message that rescue cats and kittens should be rescued and are so wonderful and rewarding to be rescued.
Binky!!! So fun to see her crawling and exploring! You have been doing a great job with her! She looks wonderful! She's doing great! Little playful girl! 💜😺💜😺💜
Binky is adorable. So glad she has survived. Having said that, I am more of a dog person, but Binky sure is cute. Enjoy and I expect we will all watch her grow up.
Thanks for rescuing and taking care of this little one. Please let her live in the house with you: she would normally be with her family of siblings and mother, lots of company and stimulation. And don't be afraid to pick her up as her mother would--gently and carefully by the scruff of the neck. Kittens thus carried by their moms totally relax and hang limp--it's actually relaxing to them.
I too found this video long after it was made, but it truly warmed my heart to see such kindness, and to know the happy outcome was a beacon in dark times! You are wonderful, Kevin ( and also Mr. Fox, who is plainly also an animal lover)!
All the baby kittens I have rescued I have gently rubs the bottom of of their paws and as they grew older they would just lay back in a very Relaxing and purring has I rubs they paws. Thanks for saving Precious
Thank you so much for the update. I am thrilled that she is doing so well! We adopted a frail feral kitten, and our daughter thought it was neat that we got a "free" cat! I laugh every time I think about the vet visits, spaying, and shots that are usually part of the adoption fee. Our feral baby is now sixteen, and has enjoyed being an only cat for the past seven months . Watching Binky really gives me kitten urges, but our whole family agrees that Loki is loving the solo cat life, and we won't actively search out new additions as long as she is here.
So thankful that you are taking care of her, very sweet kitten. All small beings take up a lot of your time, kits, kittens, puppies and so on. Thanks, what an enjoyable play time...
So much love. Kevin, I am so proud of her progress and your love! The best thing about cats is that they bury their waste! Cat may be independent, but they give us so much joy.
Im glade she very active and plays like a kid, shes feeling better, and strong 💪 may she live a long life. Shes so cute and sweet.🐈 Thanks for sharing Kevin Lee Jacob.😊

I'm so glad you found Binky. She is a sweet little kitten. I'm hoping she continues to thrive. It's my understanding that kittens who are underweight, sick and listless have a very slim chance of survival. How wonderful that she is making progress. Good luck to you, Binky! Thanks for the video.
Hi Kevin- I just saw this video. I have a grey short hair tabby named Noel. She is 17 and doing well except for getting picky about food. Thanks so much for sharing that the vet said it was ok to feed Gerber Turkey and Gravy. I would think as a baby food, the salt would be low. I will try that. You were so kind hearted to help Binky survive. She was totally dependant on you seeing her through to good health. ~ Diane
