Never stop this series at the end of every video I sit here with tears in my eyes and can't believe the stories and moments that this game has written so far
Thank you SO MUCH for the comment! We love telling these stories and put a lot of love into every video, so it's amazing to receive feedback like this! - Nic
Being a C9 fan, I remember having low hopes of C9 making it out of stages. What, KaBuM! has to win ALL who just defeated Najinm then C9 had to win against Najin just to get a tie-breaker. The odds were low but a miracle happened.
I love these videos. I get chills and I know nothing about league. The way the videos provide context makes it easy to be invested into why these moments are so iconic.
I was in Singapore when this happened. I remember watch being the guy that looked like some kpop star and najin's midlander being confident enough to first pick zed in every game
i thought this channel was going to be one of those channel who "think" they know what the're doing but you proved me (and a whole lot of others) otherwise. great job giving significance to past events like these, a great way for starters to know the pro scene more
damn why am i crying it's not even raining. I hope you guys do something like this with my Boys CLG for like their first spring split or their MSI performance. Cause these are the kind of stories i would show my friends who arent into esports to get them into esports.
And now we are going to face C9 in the group stage! I hope both pass and that this year a different region wins the worlds! Sorry about my broken english lol! Nice video!
A great suggestion! If you want to check it out, we covered coldzera's Jumping AWP in our video on the Iconic Moments from Majors (link here: th-cam.com/video/hx_wvrSyJZY/w-d-xo.html) Thanks for the comment! - Nic

2014 was the best year for LoL. So many hype teams and games, now it's just who is the better Korean team. That's why I stopped watching and playing league after 2016.
I think 2016 was my favorite year beacuse there was no team that was so dominant like 2014 ssw and 2015 skt t1. Sure, 2014 had some iconic moments like Kabum and fnc vs Omg. But you knew that ssw would win this year from the start. Same in 2015. But in 2016, there was 2 series that went to all five games and the other team was so close to win against them. 2016 was the best year for me, and the tournument changed the meta With MF support
Yeah the MF support was big. The fact that Rox was able to hide it really threw SKT for a loop. People like the original poster are just illogical haters. SKT vs Rox, and SKT vs SSG were really close and nail biting series. It was much better than anything from 2014 and 2015.
and now, things can get interesting, Longzhu gaming is the first seed from LCK, meaning SKT is just second seed, GPL/SEA having their second seed because of GAM's performance from MSI, YG also from SEA xPeke'ed FNC with Kassadin. Lyon Gaming heading toe-to-toe with C9(an over hour long battle with C9 comeback). it's only just begun but I hope things will get interesting from here. We share the same feeling about the korean domination. but, It's great so far
Bruno Lienvie don't look too deeply into it, Korea is still going to dominate until otherwise proven wrong. SKT's only gone to worlds as the #1 seed in 2015; hasn't stopped them from winning every time. I'd completely ignore the GPL - they're a trash region that had to make Taiwan leave in a mercy rule. Brazil and Turkey though are proven to be spanners in the works, and their games are really fun to watch.
yeah, korean domination is inevitable, but hey, at least I can watch games with some little laughs and woahs. for this world, I'm just gonna enjoy watching and will try to expect something different.. Korea will win probably, but it's the moments and great plays that i'm expecting. That's one way to enjoy watching Worlds, I don't want to be that guy who is super bummed in the korean dynasty(we can't blame them if koreans are strong af) and who will not watch worlds because of that reason.
Another not-so-iconic but not-so-related moment/s is from the WGL. I doubt anyone from the subscriber pool of theScore esports knows about it, but hey who knows. In World of Tanks tournament called "Wargaming League Grand Finals", Asian and American teams were always looked down upon. American teams were better respected, but Asian teams (regardless if its Chinese, Korean, etc.) were always considered free wins. It wasn't until a Filipino team called PVP defeated Fnatic in the 1st WGL, and the Chinese team EL Gaming defeated Kazna Kru in the 2nd WGL(Kazna being seen as the most likely team to go up against the RU powerhouses and Fnatic being seen the same) that the WoT esport community actually took them seriously and Asian server teams got the respect they deserved from then on. PVP ended in 4th place in the 1st WGL while EL Gaming ended in 2nd on the 2nd WGL.
It WAS a beaultiful story, but considering that kabum is an e-sports team from a sales company and their total disengagement this year with their team, I don't think the organization deserves to be praised right now.
Is this supposed to be a series of videos? because, the title is super misleading. I checked channel for other "MOMENTS" that are iconic in esports, I didn't find any uploaded in the past couple weeks. I just have this single meme that happened almost 3 years ago and I'm left a disappointed.
i dont know well okay i guess i found to be a bit meh wildcard teams dont underrastimate them put a the efford in that is needed in the koreans case is at highest a days practice and YES IT WILL THEN BE A FREE WIN
Arogance of teams like aliance and sk gaming just proves to everyone around its not worth to be such a snob and duchebag. Just be humble, hope and fight for the best, make due with what You get and never underestimate your opponent.
Sports stars are not humble, but they never underestimate their opposition. For all their trash talk, people like MJ and Kobe play the worst NBA team with the same preparation and focus as they would play against playoff contenders.
It's not though. During and before season 3, any role could carry a game. Now you have the cancer of depending on your adc to be good or your jungler to put people really far ahead/secure a ton of objectives to make up for a lack of a good adc in about 80% of games. Before this, any role could carry a game in 100% of games. Now there is no actual way to just tell your team to get on your back and let you do everything, unless you happen to be an adc or a really good jungler at a stretch. Season 4 was good too, but it started looking downhill. Once assassin meta set in and was quickly broken by the dawn of tank meta, the fun of the game just died and continued to rot until we had the recent ardent meta, and now continuing through with adcs such as ezreal and twitch continuing to dominate in every game they are picked. Yes competitive has gotten better, and the players are the best they have ever been. But it's not fun anymore. There are no crazy games where you can throw together a comp and have it just work out for you. Everything has to be played to the meta, or it's gonna get smashed to pieces. If you want an example, go look at the "all-in", "dead end" or "frozen" team comp videos that PeacePigeon put out back in the day. None of that shit would work now, because you aren't rewarded for experimenting or theorycrafting - anything suboptimal is trash. This hasn't stopped me playing, but I only play now to maintain rank and because of the ridiculous amount of hours put into the game. Because it's not fun anymore.
looking back at this now, its possible they purposly threw to get an easier path, seeing how ALL had destroyed them day before. Any coach in any spot would have said this.
THIS IS FOR KABUM!!!!💯💯💯

Paraxis best group stage worse play offs
Paraxis Agree. FNC vs C9 and SHR vs OMG was so nail biting
It was my favorite because there was not SKT .
Jessrey Mark Solijon shr vs edg was also nail biting.
daraxiong19 I think you mean SHR vs OMG

Joshua Brunson that year tsm took down 1 game from ssw(the undefeated team) in quarter's.if they had better draft they could go in the final.

This was recreated in Dota 2 recently when SEA qualifiers happened
SEA is a major region in Dota 2. You'd need the Peruvian team to beat somebody like LGD or OG to replicate this.
