I just am now watching this collab playlist. I’m looking forward to watching everyone’s videos. I like some digital checklists and some paper planning. I’ve tried doing online schedule or even schedule out the entire year, but I seem to always miss a day here or there. So now I’m thinking I’m going to plan out a month a time. And typically we do an entire load on Mondays and then like you we slow down throughout the week.

I have to plan my 2 oldest kids flow differently to the rest of my kids including the other older kids in my household!!! My nephew and younger boy have a different flow to my oldest 2!!! I do different read alouds with my older kids and my youngest and i love your idea of doing it after my kindergartener is in bed!!! I did that when I partly homeschooled as a teenager!!! I don’t plan art!!! I found that my kids love art so I just encourage them with it!!! We are post planners!!! I do a Checklist and my older kids chose when they do what they do!!! For dry ease markers I wipe off with baby wipes!!!
Flows really can be different from kid to kid. What works for one is not always going to work for the next! I'm really hoping that moving it to the end of our day like it use to be is going to get us doing it more. It was always nice to spend that time together in the past, so I'm excited to try and get that back. Thanks for watching and sharing as always!
4 days has worked really well for us for many years. I hope it helps for you guys too. I found going from 2 to 3 (really 4 but the 2 were doing the same thing) was a big jump for sure. Just give yourself grace this first year as you guys find a rhythm. Once you find it, it gets much easier. Thanks for joining in the collab!!
I have both Schoolnest planners too. I broke apart the big one and took out the extra pages. Used the extra pges to make a separate summer planner for next year.

I love the idea to front load your school week! We also tend to taper off, and I always feel guilty 🤦🏻♀️
I did too! That's why I'm just going to accept that it is our pattern and work with it instead of fighting against it!

That checklist formatting is so much cleaner than the agenda I usually give my 12yo. She was so over my typed out instructions 😂
