Man, the 90's. I barely lived in them and have faint memories of it but they were great! I remember watching my Uncles backyard wrestling and listening to old KoRn songs!
head is so fuckin great! i miss him so much...man korn was so raw, so special so unique in the beginning of their career! what would i do to go back in time...
these guys were so ahead of their time...if you listen to it closely, what are bands like suicide silence and emmure doing now? a heavier, more sophisticated version of this kind of stuff...hard groovin, very detuned, dissonant half time metal...these guys made an enormous impact in the world of metal whether or not people want to admit it now...for whatever dumb reason, it's cool to goof on korn now even though the bands you love so much would not be who they are without them
Noticed in this video and the live in Dallas 1995 show the vocals seem a tad lower than the guitars. The guitars and bass are raw as fuck in this video. That is what Korn use to be about was being raw with the music. Some of the newer albums are over produced.
you're comparing a live performance to an album recording...? korn has always tuned down for live shows and they still do so idk what you are talking about.
@@JonDaGuy Clearly you don't know what he's talking about cuz he was referring to the sound of the guitars and bass being higher and Jon's mic a tad lower, nowhere did he say anything down tuning or live shows versus album, bruh....
the white guitar that heads using (ibanez uv7pwh) is my fucking dream guitar. thank you head for puting it to good use and thank you steve vai for designing it and putting those sweet, sweet DiMarzio blazu p/ups in it
David is an asshole. He chose to ignore them during important recording sessions and stay home. Then he said he was going go be a model for calvin klein or some shit.
Just watched Clown live from 1997, 2009, 2022, and now this one (1994) and despite the audio quality this one is the best (edit= *) *performance wise. Without Silveria on the drums this song really isn't the same which is unexpected tbh
@manifestgtr just listened to the band (never heard of them btw) you cited and I have to say they will be gone in a year's time...no soul, no innovation, purely marketed product. Korn as you said emerged before the massive industry massive selling out...Korn were real, you can feel it in the first 2 albums. I remember Fieldy saying in one 1997 interview, "we're coming out with an album that's gonna go platinum baby, you just watch, it's time we're getting paid!".This is when Korn sold out sadly.
@nenofalletta right...that's why 60 something people agree with me on that...It doesn't matter if they were never "influenced" directly...korn helped paved the way for most of the hard music that's popular now
God dam I really wish David would come back! I don't like ray! I'm sure he's a great dude and he is a good drummer I just don't like him in korn and never will. He can't groove like David did. Fieldy and David are responsible for the making of every popular classic korn song! I want korn back!!!
He's a fucking idiot. I understand the band doesn't want him back. He left the band out of nowhere, tried to run restaurants and creating his own bands while talking shit about the band and its members. Then, after his solo-projects all failed miserably he wanted to get back with the band even though he spent years talking shit about them. And to ruin his reputation even more he sued the band in 2015 trying to get money from them for the years they played without him Fucking ridiculous guy...
Korn should return with Jonathon wearing the ADIDAS and the dolls hanging everywhere, not to mention Head and Fieldy with short hair. Those were the days...
yeah I know mr.Bungle.Primus(my all time favourite, saw the twice ) introduced me to them.cool band.they play cantina song from Star Wars xD cant get cooler than that
@tetoleetd That's because Head left, If you look up LAPD (Munky, Fieldy, David, with some other singer) then Creep (Munky, Fieldy, David, Head, and some other singer) you'll see how the darkness floods the music when Head is involved... then look up Head by himself with a song called paralyzed... it all makes sense then
wtf they were always influenced by Hip Hop and in 2011 they had Dope DOD toured with them.i dont like hip hop but this guys are good.its not that hip hop sucks, people who play hip hop dont know shit about playing hip hop
Head is back yaaaaaay I knew this day would come. much love rock on the range peeps i will see the best band ever. time to get put on my shit kickers and kick some shit
@manifestgtr I would hardly call what Emmure does is more sophisticated than KoRns music. In a Korn song from this time. There is first a guitar riff, and then the other guitarist built from there. Then Munkey would slap a nasty bassline. And David would make some insane drum beat and Jon would add a melody. Emmure's tab goes guitar tab goes... 100011011100011 and then theres a core scream and a double bass drum.
ha i agree completely dubstep was started so long before KoRn and Emmure and it was started in the UK as a dark garagey type of sound not like gay as Skrillex ruining everything
@VANITY80 disagree. i dont think korn ever sold out actually. i think they just kept experimenting with different sounds and going in different directions with their music until it ultimately started to sound like a completely different band. no band is going to make the same music forever, people grow and change. i think korn really went down hill starting with untouchables, and its not because they sold out, its just because the musical direction they went in sucks.
@manifestgtr You'll be surprised to know that Korn is not a metal band. Metal is Kataklysm, Sodom, Immortal etc... Don't mix metal with this modern rapcore-like stuff
@LetsLeaveTown Ignorant? lol Ill tell you whats ignorant, not even trying to consider my input. Compare the kinds of beats. Davids and dubstep are right on cue. I will listen to it, I even said I enjoyed Emmure dont be a gay fanboy kid
be reasonable JD ( 42 years old) I think it s stupid to sing about his problems in high schools,,,, to talk about his past or wear a tracksuit ADIDAS ...
Luna (mana sama) Well first of all, this song didn't have to do with Highschool, it has to do with somebody who tried to hit JD after he said to back where he lived, (bakersvile), And if he didn't write about what happened in highschool we wouldn't have good korn songs.
KoRn is your favorite band's favorite band
old-school-raw-adidas-wearing Korn... I miss those days.
Glad I saw em back then!
Bro JD still wears Adidas constantly
the beginning gives me fucking chills....goosebumps, i love them
Same with me.
Man, the 90's. I barely lived in them and have faint memories of it but they were great! I remember watching my Uncles backyard wrestling and listening to old KoRn songs!
These old skool korn shows were something else, hardcore on another level.
I used to see them every week at a bar called Dream Street in San Diego! They blew my mind
head is so fuckin great! i miss him so much...man korn was so raw, so special so unique in the beginning of their career! what would i do to go back in time...

That's why I love the 90s they had the two best bands nirvana from 89 to 94 and korn from 93 to now, new korns good, but 90s korn is better
1:02 tight bass line groove
jonathan was so young and so good looking! :D
old school KoRn is the BEST hands down...man when they siad they were going back to their old roots on their next album that it's as raw as this stuff
that bass sounds great
4:46 Head gave the mic head
These guys, Faith No More and Mushroomhead. I miss that era.

Since Head is back with Korn I want David back as well so it would be like old times.
i know david fucked up but i miss him too
Nino Falletta david misses korn. Believe me
David is an asshole. He chose to ignore them during important recording sessions and stay home. Then he said he was going go be a model for calvin klein or some shit.
i love korn.
I once owned this bootleg on VHS (cactus club right?) in Utah or something.
Was told to never trade it 😢
Fuckn love it! Always liked Korn rocking the old school adidas
jon: hold my beer .....wait he sips n then

Atleast you were born. I was born 3 years later.

4:41 Is that an advert on the bar speakers while the song is still going 🤣
so new for the 90s, I bet most of the people in this club didn't know what they hell they came across
Fieldy’s such a fucking badass
1:54 mic stand humping lol jon is the best!
Alcohol spitting more drunk rage

JoeC7711 you 're totally right . With david korn had a different style of other bands , he had a unique style.
JoeC7711 times change man, this was their prime, u cant keep it consistent for that long, unless ur the rolling stones
i miss david too

@yankeesfan2627 The skinhead never got to punch him, he ducked and their driver knocked the skinhead out so I heard.
@istayhighx420 D: ur right

Trog Im Arsch
i disagree mainly coz their new album is dubstep. the hip hop isnt bad as long as its still got metal in it. the path of totality still sucks tho
Brett Zachow and how do you like the new one?
