  • Welcome to Vocal Studio Lilian López! This soprano vocal warm-up is designed to enhance agility, control, and expressive dynamics while working within the soprano range of C4 to C6. The Lo-Fi Chill backing track provides a relaxed atmosphere, helping you to stay calm and connected to your breath while focusing on precision and vocal flexibility.
Step 1: Prepare Your Singing Space
    Find a quiet, distraction-free environment.
Use headphones or quality speakers to hear the Lo-Fi Chill backing track clearly.
Maintain good posture: stand tall, keep shoulders relaxed, and ensure your body is aligned for optimal breath support.
Have a bottle of water nearby to stay hydrated.
    Step 2: Breathing & Relaxation
    Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercise:
Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 counts, expanding your diaphragm.
Exhale slowly on a steady “sss” sound for 16-20 counts.
Repeat 3-4 times, ensuring the breath remains steady and controlled.
    Gentle Hum Warm-Up:
Hum on “Mmm” from C4 to G4, feeling the vibrations in your lips and nasal area.
Repeat 3 times, keeping the sound light and effortless.
Step 3: Slow Scale Patterns (Agility & Precision)
    “Ah” (bright and open sound)
    “Ee” (forward placement for resonance)
    “Oo” (rounded tone for balance)
Tempo: 60 BPM, repeat 3 times, focusing on even transitions.
Step 4: Expanding to One Octave (Flexibility & Strength)
    “Ah” for clarity and brightness
    “Oo” to maintain resonance
Lip Trills or Tongue Trills for tension release
Experiment with different dynamics: soft at the start, crescendo in the middle, then decrescendo.
Maintain a smooth, legato flow without tension.
Step 6: Register Transition (Mix & Head Voice Control)
Practice siren slides from C4 to C6 on “Ng” or “Oo,” ensuring a seamless connection between chest, mix, and head voice.
Focus on eliminating strain and keeping the sound relaxed and connected.
Step 7: Cool Down & Reflection
Descending hums from C5 to C4 to relax the vocal cords.
Gentle descending scales on a soft “Oo” to release tension.
Take a moment to assess your voice and how it feels post-warm-up.
    Final Tips for Success
✅ Relaxation Over Force - Keep the voice free of tension.
✅ Consistent Breath Support - Allow your breath to flow naturally.
✅ Practice Daily - Repetition builds vocal agility and expression.
