These scenes contain some of my favorite Finola Hughes/Anders Hove moments. Both of them are at the top of their game here, having a seemingly calm discussion with a myriad of undercurrents and emotions underneath. AH's Faison is eerily calm, but you can see the alternating rage, anger, and betrayal he feels. I love the way he's so clearly playing FH's Anna, who's trying to keep up the flirtatious act, but grows more panicked by the minute when she realizes something is wrong.
@@marcierenee15ABSOLUTELY TRUE!! The GREAT Anders Hove created a Character that could SO easily have been a one dimensional Villain and made him into a Complex, Conflicted, Sexy, FUNNY and even at times Sympathetic Character!! His UNWAVERING Self Deluding Belief that he and Anna Belonged together, that she and Robin could be his Family, and that he could WILL HER to Love him was actually quite Heartbreaking, even as it descended into Madness and Evil. Anders was BRILLIANT and an incredibly UNDERRATED Actor!! ❤️❤️💕🌹
Also wanted to add -- On a more subtle level, these scenes show how well Faison knows Anna. When he ends his little speech with that quietly hissed "Once a traitor, always a traitor," statement and Anna breaks down, you can see he really knows how to hurt her.
Indeed...and although I love Anna, that is quite what she is. I sometimes forget how black-hearted she was and still is as a trained killer even though you can see her agony here over what she's done.
@@aamanpour3630 That’s because, just as Anders Hove did, the Incredible Finola Hughes made Anna such a Complex, Fascinating and often Conflicted Character that the lines between the morality of her actions become Blurred because somehow we’re always in Anna’s corner no matter what! BRILLIANT Actors with Off the Charts CHEMISTRY. ❤️💕🌹
@@lindahoffman2692 Yes, frankly, I am APPALLED that Finola never won an Emmy. Clearly, it must be some sort of popularity contest vs. based on actual talent because Finola is one of the most compelling, natural soap actors I've yet to had the luxury of experiencing!
@@aamanpour3630Thankfully Finola did Win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Leas Actress in 1991, which would have included the time of the Anna-Faison Storyline. She also was Nominated several more times in the 1990’s, then multiple tomes again in the mid 2000’s, including again as recently as 2024. I couldn’t agree more that Finola deserved to win on many of those occasions but at least she does have the one for her Awesome work in the Faison days! 👍❤️🌹
GH was at its peak when it showcased international characters. It had glamour, mystique, adventure. After the vile Sonny Corinthos and his drone Jason turned up, that all changed and the show became a hilariously poor parody of The Godfather. I keep wishing Anna and Robert could swoop in with the WSB and wipe Sonny's mob right out of Port Charles. Or bring Faison back to take care of them PERSONALLY.
The early GH 00s till 2012 were actually good. I was never huge fan of 80s and 70s GH, too many uninteresting characters and weak Storylines. The whole Mikkos vs Luke storyline felt too much like a 007 parody. I agree there is to much Sonny and Jason today but they had some great storylines in late 90s and 00s
You’re crying because this climactic scene was SO BEAUTIFULLY PLAYED by the truly GREAT Anders Hove and always fantastic Finola!! Anders pulled out all the stops showing Faison’s recognition of Anna’s betrayal and his love for her still struggling with rage and obsession. It was a Master Class in acting just the emotions playing across his face all at the same time!! And it was actually quite heartbreaking because he loved her so much but was such a deeply Flawed and dysfunctional man he didn’t know how to truly love without possession. ❤️
@@lindahoffman2692Finola should have gotten an Emmy for this. My gosh, she is brilliant and yet never got an Emmy. It astounds me. Her chemistry with Anders was off the charts too. Just all around brilliant.
@@lindahoffman2692 The way Anna is crying really makes me believe she did love him on some deep subconscious level. She also felt extreme conscience about what she did but I think she had feelings for the man. When Anna is cold, she is COLD... but she is anything but..here...
@@aamanpour3630 Anna understood that Faison’s Tragedy was that in his Dysfunctional way he really did Love her AND Robin, and he believed that he could WILL them into being the “Family” he dreamed of but that was of course IMPOSSIBLE and never existed! Unlike Robert, Sean and Frisco, Anna took no pleasure in his destruction but she did her part without hesitation so she and Robin could be free of Faison.
Not at ALL! This is the MOMENT when Faison’s DREAMS Crumble as reality FINALLY overcomes his Delusions that Anna, Robin and he will ever be a “Family”, and for Anna in her FACE you can see her Panic mounting even as she fully understands the depth of her Betrayal of Faison’s Dream of them. It’s BRILLIANT acting!!

Robert's reason - - all the aggravation you caused me... well if Robert kept his part of the agreement to let Faison remain as thought dead he would not have been aggravated. Anna didn't even state a reason perhaps because she didn't want him killed- - she has prevented that a number of times. Hearing Robin's words in the background that Anna valued ambition, power and success perhaps are what formed 2018 concept of her raping Faison while in the WSB academy. I have no problem believing a child between Anna and Faison, because, as he said, he did always love her and I believe she loved him but was unwilling to admit it. It just should have been a teenage pregnancy or after 1992 - - not such an ugly concept.
@The House of Cassadine The backstory in 2018 for the conception of Henrik/Peter was that Anna, to make a name for herself at the academy, disguised herself to get intel on a very drunk Faison and she ended up pregnant because she couldn't reveal her identity when things went farther than she thought they would. (the writers changed it to be Alex, her twin sister, who did it instead of Anna)

I don't know why I feel sorry for Fasion and he really love Anna but is very obsessive of Anna . He have such a sadness and craziness in him.
