Her album already complete when she was in u.s for sure as all her friends in mv is in U.S.
But they just timing to release when she doing her activities in China. Amber said in the interview her and her team already planning for Chinese market since 2019, after her contract with Sm over in Sep2019. But becuz pandemic happen few months later, it has to be cancelled. I'm happy she get to go back and now she has so much opportunities in China. Girly is so book!!

@@elletotherescue I'm guessing you missed out on her entire solo career until now? lol. Since her debut as a solo artist under SM, she's mostly sang in all her songs. She's a vocalist. "Rapper" was just her position in f(x) to match her boy-ish concept and because the others were vocalist.

@@VIPyellowwolfy21 I don't get it with ya'll always using the "their Korean isn't good" card for whenever foreign members don't get enough lines or in this case, the reason why Amber wasn't made a vocalist? 100% of the time the foreign members can speak Korean well and it's not hard to practice and mimic Korean pronunciation for a song if not. They wouldn't have not made her a vocalist because her "Korean wasn't good enough." lol. If anything, they'd just give her less lines and then keep increasing her lines over the years. Also, it's more difficult to rap in Korean than sing haha. It's more likely that they made her a rapper to match her mysterious tomboy concept. When they let her make her solo debut, she mostly sang in all her songs.
