That River Boat Queen looked fantastic (we just don't have these things in the UK) I still have my childhood copy of 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'. I thought it was brilliant back then and I still do to this day.
A fantastic Grab Bag! Driver of the truck was lucky oncoming train not coming at high speed, to avoid collision. Enjoyed seeing all the doubles, including Amtrak. BNSF 28 engine rail cars was awesome to see. Great video!
The trumpet guy should intro the chief prior to its arrival. That was majestic. I’ve been seeing some of those BNSF H2 locomotives have GECX spray painted on the sides. Wonder what that’s all about? Nice to see 203 on the Texas Eagle.
Clips I saw live: Possibly 4:31 - I saw the trumpet man but I only saw 3 or 4 trains during his time on the platform thus I'm not sure. 7:33 - Watched the Mountaineer slowly traversing the curves for a good 20-30 minutes, definitely worth seeing the two waves. 9:33 - A different kind of geometry train to the one I usually spot! This had been stabled in Galesburg for a time before it went west.
@@orbitsrailfanvids The white vertical is absolutely engine light glare as it tracks the train. The red triple moving off at an angle to the right isn't following any light. Pretty sure it's an atmospheric phenomenon (that was forecast for the US)
Hey Der Jerry! The sound of the train going over the bridge sounds sweet! Oh Cool, a trash train! Neat-O a UP Loco eh! A meet and a CN BoxCar, this video has just about everything!
Oki have a no brainer question ,What is the deal with the un_marked engines are they either A new engines B rebuilt and going to another rail line C heading to retirement to be put in storage or busted up ?>
To expand a bit on power moves rarely on large rail systems do traffic volumes come out equally balanced in all directions meaning occasionally extra locos (and sometimes cars) need to be transferred from where they have brought in loads to other locations where there is more need. Also in this case there may have been some units being moved to certain locations for repairs, scrapping or sale to other parties.

You need to read "Huckleberry Finn" . Has LOTS more about being on the river...Tom S's in that book as well... 📚📘👍
That Hawk at 12:29 is like "Hey Train humans, look what I caught!"😂😂😂
That trumpet guy was funny :)
With a little practice, he could get a gig at Churchill Downs or Saratoga.

The gates didn't go down until he was over the tracks. How does that make him a Darwin candidate. Remember, that's a telephoto lens.
Good to see Fairport represented. Hope to see more.

Oh haha that mountaineer waited for us a Utah Junction. I was very surprised to see it myself!
Cool wildlife captures at Hesperia! Almost like he's posing!
Love to see the scouts waiting on the train. Hopefully headed to Philmont!
Love the 28 engine power moves
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.

The moment at 4:36 had me laughing, good stuff!
That was a great performance, lol!!
Glad to see Galesburg on a thumbnail again!
Another good video provided by our favorite channel
Great video

Yes
Yesterday I saw a BNSF train with company passenger cars near Brighton Colorado. It was headed into Denver at around 2:30pm or so.
Was that a glimpse of the forecast aurora borealis (Northern Lights) @14:29? The color is right for Illinois and it was forecast for Michigan, so...
I think it's glare from the lights shining off the camera.
engine light glare.

Why do the railroads keep the engine doors open ? Are the laches faulty?
At 14:04 is that something being launched out of Edwards AFB?

SpaceX launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in Lompoc, CA - not a bad image for being approx 200 miles from Barstow.

This is my go to videos. 100/100!! Virtual Railfan
Question: what is the intended purpose of the 28 loco power move (other than to move them from point A to point B.)?
I truly believe you answered your own question.
Or they being scraped or sold or rebuild. But you answer you question power move point a to point b
