I feel like the big room style had so much potential, but it relies so much on cheesy melodies, annoying buildups, and distorted bassdrums that it's been completely ruined. And it barely even sounds like house! Happily, trance has kept some of its cool, and hardcore (which I've been into for a couple of years) is staying strong.
