I don’t like using a pressure washer. It adds water to the barrel, causing the wood to swell. The key to making a long lasting “tight” barrel is to use an older aired / dried out barrel. If you start with a wet barrel, after you build it it will slowly dry out and shrink. This causes the barrel to become loose and sloppy.
Try using a pressure washer to clean the insides of the barrel. Was my favorite way to do it
